The Strategist plays a key role on the Strategy team at Match. The Strategist works to ensure that the experiences we create seamlessly blend real life and digital. From gathering and clarifying insights to creating digital and experiential solutions, the Strategist wears many hats and works with almost every agency team while creating impactful work for our clients across the entire consumer journey.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of strategic recommendations for new business & existing client pitches that build brand narrative through experiential activations and earned and paid channels (i.e. PR, social + influencer, email, etc.)
  • Define the client's brand and business problem in the context of a marketing challenge that we can solve
  • Write and develop creative briefs to guide the ideation process
  • Assist and lead the planning and execution of creative brainstorms
  • Participate in creative brainstorms - actively bring newsworthy and innovative experiential, social, media and content recommendations to the table
  • Conduct research and develop actionable insights that drive responses to existing client work and new business proposals
  • Serve as project manager and liaison between Creative, Strategy and Account teams to ensure project deliverable timelines are met
  • Develop consumer journeys and communications frameworks for client proposals and presentations
  • Provide strategic rigor to the implementation and execution of creative concepts within the consumer journey across various media channels connecting brand experiences to retail and purchase (experiential, email, social, PR, out of home, etc.)
  • Build competitive analysis and brand audits to identify opportunities in the marketplace
  • Build measurement strategies to gauge success of experiential programs

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of strategy experience, preferably in an agency environment
  • Fascinated by understanding how consumers think and behave with the goal of developing experiential marketing programs that are sought out and cherished by a brand’s audiences
  • Knowledgeable and hungry to learn the latest consumer trends, including experiential, retail, social, influencer, and content
  • Have the ability to conduct, analyze and distill primary and secondary research into usable insights and ideas that are ready-to-use to leverage in client presentations proposals, brainstorms and beyond
  • Strong written, verbal and visual communication. Have the ability to write creatively and descriptively. Can design and deliver presentations that effectively and passionately sell ideas.
  • Ability to understand client brand category in order to deliver creative ideas that resonate with target audience
  • Can meet tight deadlines with an exceptional eye for detail
  • Excited to work with a broad range of brands from automotive, outdoors, power sports, CPG, lifestyle, and more.
