Community Impact, Program Manager - Zoom Cares
Overview
Care is our core value here at Zoom — we care for our company, customers, teammates, ourselves, and our communities. We recognize that every company has a responsibility towards positive impact, and we care about making our impact as effective as possible.
Zoom Cares, our philanthropic entity, strives to create a future where individuals within our communities and the environment are cared for. Our Zoom Cares' social impact strategy is based on five strategic pillars which we see as levers for change: philanthropy, product, people, policy, and power. In this role, you'll interface with all areas but serve as the team lead for the people pillar - activating our Zoomies to show their care through action.
The Role
The Community Impact Program Manager is a champion of social good inside and outside of Zoom, educating and enabling employees as agents of change to drive meaningful impact with our community partners around the world. This position reports to the Head of Social Impact.
In this role you will be project owner working with our Zoom Cares team (coordinate with pillar leads, contribute to team’s overall strategy) multiple internal stakeholders (leadership, employee leads on giving/volunteering, and department heads of communications, DEI, HR, organizational development, people operations etc), and external stakeholders (community based organizations, advocates and vendors, etc).
You are a people-oriented self-starter and strong advocate for facilitating nonprofits in achieving their missions – and comfortable navigating ambiguity, strategy design and iteration, as well as launching and implementing initiatives with a scrappy self-starter attitude.
Role Responsibilities
Employee Giving - Design, plan and lead employee giving engagements for all Zoomies around the world. This includes managing the annual donation-match budget, special crisis-response matching campaigns, and any other culturally or historically-relevant milestones that inspire employees to donate. Support cross-functional partners in their community-giving efforts, including DEI team and Happy Crew.
Community Volunteering - Develop nonprofit-centered strategy for local, regional, and global volunteering that aligns with goals and areas of need of partner organizations – both those groups supported by Zoom Cares globally, and those supported by local offices directly. Design opportunities for both in-person and virtual engagements, as well as short-term and long-term activities that further impact as defined by nonprofit partners.
Ambassador Empowerment and Activation - In partnership with internal organizational development and people teams, develop and manage global Zoomies Care Ambassadors program to spearhead community-based giving and volunteering activities world-wide that lead to community impact.
Communications - Drive global internal communications and impact storytelling on behalf of the social impact team – including information regarding employee giving, volunteering, speakers, strategic Zoom Cares donations and key partnerships. Capture impact of employee engagements to be shared with internal leadership. Serve as the main point of contact for questions from employees regarding how to get involved, and nonprofits seeking support.
Program Operations - Manage external vendor partnership for technology platform, develop campaigns, track data, share reporting and capture donation-matches. Ensure employees have the training and tools needed on the back-end to maximize nonprofit impact.
Relationship builder and Advocate - Serve as an innovator and creative thinker for both the social impact team and the larger field of community-impact. In partnership with the Head of Social Impact & team members, survey the field for real-time community feedback, develop thought leadership pieces, host events or speaker-series on timely topics, design pro bono and nonprofit board placement programs, and more. Work across internal teams to create a successful employee impact strategy that brings together expertise from the People, DEI, organizational development, internal communications teams and more.
