Online Community Manager

As a community manager in the Alteryx Community, you will work closely with customers and teams around the company to drive programming that increases user engagement across the community including forums, blogs, learning & enablement content, and other modalities. You will implement the growth of engaged members, drive platform utilization, and create experiences that help customers ignite their passions, scale their knowledge, and take their careers to the next level. You play an integral role on the team by implementing tactics that support the overall team strategy and work to improve processes in a community of passionate and highly technical business analysts and data aficionados.
Responsibilities:
Drive member engagement and retention within the Alteryx Community, with a focus on activating audiences to take a more involved participation style.
Create relatable content within the community that recognizes our members’ contributions (Top Contributors Blog, shoutouts in forums, etc)
Implement engagement initiatives, both new and established, to keep our membership engaged and active within the Alteryx Community
Manage regularly scheduled programming to help grow our membership as well as expand the abilities of our existing community members
Support moderation and user nurture efforts to drive engagement within the Alteryx Community
Host a variety of online activities (e.g. Ask the experts, contests, hangouts, etc.) to increase engagement, drive awareness, and foster connections among Alteryx experts & enthusiasts
Identify potential superusers and advocates within the community, proactively cultivate relationships with these members
Help optimize existing processes within the team and help develop and document new processes as needed
Expand community engagement tactics in support of strategic initiatives and departmental objectives
Work cross-functionally with internal/external stakeholders to maximize the impact of community programs
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as a Community Manager or similar role
Experience planning and leading community initiatives
Excellent written and oral communication
Culturally savvy & creative, with a good sense of judgment on the appropriateness of content for the target audience
Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics; Demonstrated success in growth of key community metrics or ROI
Ability to juggle multiple, opposing priorities while ensuring details are not lost
A warm and welcoming customer-facing personality
Curiosity, critical thinking, autonomy, and a sense of humor
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the Khoros platform
Familiarity with large scale user communities, preferably in the technology/software space
Experience in a direct customer facing role
Compensation:
Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Broomfield, CO is $56,900 - $86,200. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
