POSITION SUMMARY:

ArcherDX is expanding its Biorepository Program and seeking an eager individual to become a part of the team.  The purpose of our Biorepository is to collect and store samples to meet all of our internal testing requirements, which will include feasibility and analytical validation studies.  The Biorepository Sample Sourcing Manager will lead efforts for the acquisition of samples to meet our project needs. A collaborative approach is essential for this role as they will interface and work in partnership with multiple cross-functional teams throughout the company and many external specimen suppliers, academic institutions and community-based practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job performance will involve a variety of activities including:

  • Lead and manage all external samples sourcing efforts, including with biorepository vendors, academic institutions and community oncology centers
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with various suppliers
  • Assist in developing academic and/or community-based sample acquisition collaborations and protocols
  • Work closely with Biorepository Lead and Biorepository Manager on departmental processes and sample needs
  • Work closely with Biorepository Team and externally facing Invitae/ArcherDX personnel to effectively communicate with and manage vendors and sites
  • Coordination with internal legal department for establishment of NDAs, MTAs, and other supplier agreements
  • Coordination with QC for addition of new suppliers to our Approved Supplier List
  • Communication with our Assay Development team for specimen requests
  • Lead supplier and site communications, including but not limited to:
    • Outreach to new suppliers and clinical sites
    • Determination of capabilities
    • Coordination on documentation
    • Relationship establishment and maintenance
    • Specimen requests
    • Inventory reviews
    • Quote requests
  • Review, understanding, and compliance with HIPAA Security policies and procedures
  • Safeguarding the privacy and security of protected health information and European Union personal data
  • Processing and handling of personal data only as directed by ArcherDX for purposes of personalized molecular pathology
  • Travel to the home office, external sites and conferences may be required

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5+ years of biobank and/or supplier communication experience
  • Prior experience in oncology specific sample sourcing and/or academic collaborations highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on timelines and importance
  • Ability to perform price and quality comparisons between suppliers to select optimal samples
  • Knowledge of GCP, GLP, and other regulations preferred
  • Prior sample handling or biobanking experience preferred
  • Prior experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) preferred

EDUCATION:

  • B.S. or M.S. in biological science, clinical laboratory science, medical technology or other relevant field.

 

In Colorado, our competitive compensation package includes a base salary starting from $85,000. In determining the final salary offered, we will evaluate a specific candidate's geographic location, education, skills, and experience.
