What you’ll do:

As the Agile Delivery Manager(ADM)  you will report to the CIO of Information Services. The Agile Delivery Manager will lead Agile transformation efforts, guiding a team of Scrum Masters while building cross functional support for Pinnacol’s Agile strategy. The ADM will mentor the Scrum Masters on their Agile Coaching journey and identify opportunities for growth inside and outside of Pinnacol. The Agile Delivery Manager will work with Scrum Masters to gather and interpret Agile Delivery Metrics used to monitor pace, progress, and opportunities for improvement.                    

The ADM will interact with senior leadership to continuously encourage approaching delivering value with an agile mindset. The ADM will work closely with Opportunity Architects and members of the product organization to build maturity in discovery practices that enable fast feedback loops and opportunities to fold learning into decision making. The ADM will also work alongside engineering leadership to build maturity of agile team practices through targeted coaching from scrum masters and alignment.   

What you can expect:

  •  Lead a team of Scrum Masters by providing direction and day-to-day guidance, establishing goals and direction, providing needed resources, training, and performance management   
  • Build credibility with business partners by demonstrating thought leadership and creating a path to agile maturity
  • Promote learning and participate in the development of agile thinking, tools, processes, and methods across the organization
  • Collaborate with and influence all levels of the organization to empower and enable teams to execute agile principles effectively
  • Help identify organizational impediments to successful agile transformation and work with the leadership team to create effective strategies to overcome them
  • Continually scan external environment for industry leading tools, technology, analytics and best practices to continuously improve Pinnacol’s agile delivery and project management discipline

What you need to be successful:

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience practicing and evangelizing scrum, kanban and other agile methodologies
  • 3+ years of experience managing direct reports, and  building high-performing teams
  • An ability to understand others’ perspectives and deal effectively with different types of people
  • Persuasion: An ability to influence others and build consensus
  • Managing Others: Experience and ability in coaching individuals and teams across all levels within the company towards delivering strong products
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, meaning the ability to communicate with and present to a variety of audiences including executive leadership

When meeting the requirements, the minimum of what you can expect for this position is $132,300.00. The actual offer will vary depending on the candidate's skills and competencies.

If you decide to come into the office, we’re just seven miles from downtown Denver, in the heart of the Lowry neighborhood. Our office is minutes away from a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, fitness facilities and lush parks and open spaces.
