About the team

CIO Delivery Transformation is a new team focused on improving Infrastructure delivery quality and timelines to our customers and partners. We are focused on championing Agile Ways of Working in the CIO organization, partnering with our colleagues in CIO Infrastructure, Engineering and Network teams to transform the organization and align to a new progressive Operating Model.

What you will be doing

In support of our transformation, we are looking for Agile Coaches who can bring our new ways of working to life. The successful candidate will be able to explain and coach Agile practices and tools to our Infrastructure team partners, working with the teams to transform and evolve their delivery approach, partnering with our Center of Excellence in Development and aligning to the new Operating Model.

  • Provide hands-on Agile coaching to Scrum Masters, Product Owners and their teams on all aspects of Scrum, Lean, and Kanban practices
  • Educate employees at all levels, including leadership on Agile principles, providing them with tools for implementing the process to optimize the quality of delivery
  • As a mentor, the Agile Coach is responsible for guiding teams through the Agile methodology, providing employees with feedback and answering questions.
  • Responsible for designing a strategy for the organizational and cultural adoption of Agile. From the introduction of Agile, to fostering teams and cultures that practice Agile, to sustaining Agile methodologies and continually offering strategies for Continuous improvement.
  • Use techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation, support in conflict resolution.
  • Identify KPIs (qualitative and quantitative) for the teams to improve and associated to Performance365 goals.
  • Able to establish new teams, motivating and inspiring team members.
  • Clear on the difference between outputs and outcomes, strong in negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Focused on continuous Improvement.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or business administration or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
  • Must reside in either the eastern or central time zone OR be willing to work east coast hours with flexibility to our colleagues in other countries
  • Strong leaders and advocates for the adoption of Agile.
  • Our Agile Coaches will be assertive about adherence to Agile processes and enthusiastic about Agile practices and their benefits
  • They demonstrate a strong knowledge of Agile concepts and prior experience coaching teams in Agile adoption or as a Scrum Master
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages, data analytics, Agile tools (Rally, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Skill in the use of negotiation techniques to reach agreement when there are widely-differing viewpoint
  • Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management and time management skill
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Ability to interact effectively with executive level clients
  • Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance and build high morale among team members
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and carry out assignments that are sensitive in nature

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience practicing Agile/Scrum in an infrastructure environment is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of financial services industry
  • Knowledge of FIS products and services
  • Relevant certifications is nice to have including SAFe, Scrum Master, Product Owner, etc.
