Overview

Sand Cherry is looking for a Project Release Manager who will support an Engineering team by overseeing and coordinating software releases across multiple products and programs. This role is responsible for tracking release schedules, fixes, and deployment activities while proactively identifying gaps, dependencies, and areas of potential conflict. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational and analytical skills to streamline processes and ensure smooth, on-time delivery across cross-functional teams. This position is located in Denver, CO and requires on site/hybrid work schedule. Qualified candidates must reside in greater Denver area to be considered. All qualified candidates MUST be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship. Please note that we do not work C2C.

Responsibilities

·       Extracts and distills key requirements from conversations into deliverables and/or visualizations for contributing teams

·       Manage multiple concurrent releases

·       Maintain clear communication among diverse stakeholders

·       Deliver high-quality executive-level presentations with strong executive presence

·       Builds new process structures and templates to improve standardization across teams, identifying best practices and simplifying the unnecessarily complex issues

·       Collaborate with teams post-standardization on consistency and compliance

·       Executes on multiple deliverables in parallel efficiently and accurately

·       Investigates information independently to develop full understanding and can articulate key points back to leadership

·       Identifies opportunities for improvement and proactively provides recommended solutions

·       Expert ability to transition between tasks and focus energy on the relevant business need – flexible to change

·       Coordinate release content and efforts based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates

·       Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews

·       Product Deployment, Run Books, and Implementation Plans

·       Weekly Release Reporting and communication of release details and schedules

·       Provide tools and services to help product management and project teams manage and deploy releases into production

·       Attends daily stand-ups with Development Teams

·       Act as pseudo–Scrum Master, running and managing daily standups and sprint planning

·       Act as point of contact for ticket blockers, and de-conflicts release timing

·       Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes

·       Manage risk and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality

·       Measure and monitor release progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations

·       Collaborate with all participants in software development projects and support developers and testers as they set up their build dev/test environments


Requirements

·       Minimum of 5 years Project/Program management experience and familiarity with methodologies and tools is required

·       Minimum of 3-5 years in telecommunications industry (cable, internet, video) is strongly preferred

·       Demonstrated effective leadership and strong organizational and analytical skills

·       Knowledge of navigating and updating multiple tools utilized- JIRA, Chalk, Smartsheet, and conducting Internet research

·       Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and requirements writing

·       Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional work teams

·       Advanced written and verbal communication skills are necessary

·       Bachelors Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field is required

·       PMP certification and/or Scrum Master certification a plus


Compensation

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a long-term consulting engagement, with an hourly range of $75-$85. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
