Craftsy is looking for a Vice President of Product to lead the strategy, communication and execution of the company's product vision. This role will serve as head of the product organization and as a leading contributor toward Craftsy’s new membership offering. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer experience and delivery of a diverse set of digital products across multiple platforms and devices. Including demonstrated accomplishments of launching new initiatives and building strong teams to execute Craftsy’s vision.
Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the CEO, CTO, Marketing and Ecommerce leadership to align and develop the product and overall business strategy
  • Work with Sr. Product leadership, engineering, ecommerce and marketing to help determine a distinctive and differentiated customer experience, including the launch of Craftsy’s membership platform.
  • Lead recruitment, hiring and mentoring of key product management personnel
  • Create an exciting, dynamic and sustainable working environment that draws and retains talent in the department
  • Demonstrate understanding of customer journeys and how to make impactful changes and optimizations
  • Evangelize user-centric product development and design, leveraging customer research, behavior, analytics, needs and opportunities
  • Develop, train, grow and scale the impact of a small to medium sized product team. You will establish clear roles and responsibilities and define career progression of junior product managers
  • Show demonstrated success in sitting between business units and engineering teams to guide strategic prioritization and implementation
  • Manage a wide variety of product lines and platforms with a strong understanding web, mobile web, native app and OTT landscapes
  • Establish methodologies and procedures for design conceptualization, prototyping, and product development across the entire software development life cycle
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of business concepts such as conversion optimization, customer acquisition and P&L statements
  • Set the Product Vision. Define and drive the product strategy inspiring the company towards delivery of the product vision from concept to deployment. Imparting that vision across departments

• Understanding of membership and subscription platforms and acquisition funnels.
• Diverse experience in the fields of product design, management, and excel in cross departmental communication
• Experience scaling an organization through rapid periods of growth in a dynamic business environment
• Demonstrated exceptional leadership skills blending analytical, creative and strategic talents
• Exceptional critical thinking skills demonstrated through strong professional problem solving in a data-driven environment, including leveraging analytics and business intelligence suites
• Basic experience / understanding of digital performance management tools, including bid management tools (e.g. Kenshoo, Marin Software, etc.) and analytics packages (e.g. Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends, etc.)
