About Cipher Skin

At Cipher Skin, we push the boundaries of what is possible. We’re a data company built on technology that translates the physical world into actionable insights. Cipher Skin’s patented technology, Cipher Mesh, is a network of sensors that can be printed on any textile and wrapped around anything—a person, a pipe, a bridge. This technology captures gapless data and translates it through proprietary software to provide instantaneous, visualized data and diagnostics. Because of Cipher Skin’s versatility, there are nearly unlimited applications, from physical therapy and training to continuous monitoring in pipeline management. At its core, however, Cipher Skin melds next-gen hardware and software to help make sense of our complex world and how we interact with it.

About this Role

We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager who understands how to build successful products and seeks to create user experiences that go above and beyond expectations. Our Technical Product Manager will drive the vision, roadmap, and development for our software products. We’re looking for someone with a strong customer focus and a proven track record of building software products — someone who thrives in cross-functional roles, loves working side-by-side with leaders, engineers, and designers, and can confidently lead several work streams at once. Our ideal candidate will have an experimental, data-informed approach and make clear strategic decisions with the customer’s best interest in mind.

Job Responsibilities

  • Craft a compelling product vision for The Digital Mirror, our cloud-based software platform.
  • Own the overall product roadmap for existing and new products.
  • Lead product development from end to end: Write specs and user stories, build wireframes and prototypes, write test plans and release checklists.
  • Build a deep understanding of Cipher Skin’s customer and business needs that you then translate into product strategy and roadmaps.
  • Guide developers with clear direction and purpose, keeping a well-prioritized backlog and optimizing for efficiency in execution.
  • Seek ongoing insights from data, research, and face-to-face customer meetings.
  • Train the sales, marketing, and support teams on new features.
  • Provide UAT for new features to ensure they meet the acceptance criteria.
  • Make sure there is no bloat in the platform by effectively measuring all stories for impact before they go into the backlog.
  • Coordinate risk management, dependencies, and resources with cross-functional counterparts, pulling in exec support as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in a product management role.
  • Experience managing SaaS and/or B2B Software products.
  • Background in engineering or computer science is desirable.
  • Healthcare, fitness-tech experience is a plus.
  • Good collaborator and can work well with internal teams, including developers, engineers, UX/UI designers, operations, marketing, and sales.
  • Highly organized and familiar with product planning and analytics tools such as Jira, Confluence, Google Sheets, Tableau, etc.
  • Excellent communicator and comfortable driving consensus across multiple stakeholders, including executives.
  • Problem-solver with positive attitude to working through roadblocks.
  • Self-starter with previous startup experience and/or experience working with ambiguity and minimum direction.
