As part of our new retail wireless department , we'll partner with product managers and engineers to solve customer problems in an agile environment. The product teams are key enablers of our success, immersing themselves in every aspect of the product development lifecycle - from strategy ideation to launch execution and everything in between.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
What you'll be doing
We seek an Android Product Development Staff Manage r to serve as the program lead for Android products, including business and technical topics, product delivery schedules, requirements compliance and waivers, device certification, value proposition alignment, and lifecycle management. The successful candidate will manage the product delivery processes, certification requirements, and test execution for DISH's Android OEM device portfolio. This includes launching Android products, working closely with the Product Roadmap, Device Certification, Operations, and Go To Market teams, and working cross-functionally to successfully launch Android products under several DISH brands.
Specifics

  • Work cross-functionally to ensure selected Android devices align with the active product development roadmap;
  • Manage relationships with Android OEMs on a day-to-day basis, communicating progress on product development and certification activities between DISH and Android OEMs;
  • Define scope and budget for any technology trial activities, negotiate support with Android OEMs, as needed;
  • Facilitate requirements publication to Android OEMs and product feature lockdown against specifications, including device technology, feature integration, and network;
  • Influence internal stakeholders and interact at the executive level on product delivery progress, key milestones, and program risks.


Skills, Experience and Requirements
Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's in computer science, electrical engineering, or business;
  • Six or more years of experience in mobile device certification processes and mobile product development management for Android-based smartphones, tablets, and wearables;
  • Three or more years of technical leadership, including new feature development and roadmap management;
  • Previous experience with Android product development and launch;
  • Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced and changing environment with minimal direction and supervision.


Salary Range
Compensation: $100,100.00/Year - $143,000.00/Year
