Sr. Product Owner

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced product owner with a genuine interest in improving the health care system through the adoption of technology and data driven decision making.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the created product features, delivering in the product model and communicating the product needs with business partners
  • Assess value, develop business cases, prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure focus on items with a maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product
  • Develop scope and define backlog items (epic/features/user stories) that guide the Agile software development team
  • Research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product. Incorporate feature requests into product roadmap
  • Work directly with customers to define requirements for client custom development
  • Review incoming work items to transform them into epics and stories
  • Review bug reporting to triage, supply additional documentation as needed and prioritize fixes
  • Supply release notes for client releases
  • Work with the client services team to prioritize product features that drive operational efficiencies and help scale processes
  • Work closely with Data science teams to ensure alignment with product strategy and to help define approach to integrate analytics into product features
  • Refine our agile methodology based on results and client feedback
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Follow competitors and the industry
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience working as a Product Owner
  • Previous experience interfacing directly with customers for requirements gathering and refinement
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Familiarity with agile scrum and KanBan
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Sharp attention to detail
  • Experience working collaboratively with a software development team on the design and delivery of new product features
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare, particularly supporting payer customers
  • Familiarity and understanding of health care data
  • Experience with health care analytics and/or background in statistics
  • Experience with Atlasian product suite
  • UI/UX design experience

Other Details:

  • This role is a full-time, exempt position
  • Starting salary range is $116,000 - $150,000
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the following:

    • variable performance-based bonus incentives with annual potential up to 10%
