Job Description: Senior Product Manager, Inventory Management

Reporting to: Director, Product Management

 

Inspirato is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our team to own and drive product strategy and delivery of our inventory management, pricing, and distribution systems. This position resides within the product management department and will become the subject matter expert on Inspirato’s travel/hospitality inventory capabilities.  It is a highly visible role requiring an individual who is deeply motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate about building world-class travel experiences.  The ideal candidate is both customer objective focused and technically inclined, capable of balancing business needs while still understanding and working with complex software systems.  If you love working on multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, fun, innovative environment, we look forward to reviewing your application.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage product direction and roadmap across our technology systems designed to administer and control Inspirato’s luxury travel portfolio (homes, hotels, etc.).
  • Inspires and motivates people on direction and roadmap, serving as role model/ambassador across teams.
  • Facilitate and drive priorities across multiple teams and initiatives to align with company goals.
  • Possess strong insight into customer (internal & external) needs and pain points.
  • Proactively seeks feedback and behavioral analytics across product lines.
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative data and turn insights into action.
  • Partner closely with product design and engineering teams to align business objectives with technology and design solutions.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to detail business and technical requirements and distill big-picture concepts into specific, actionable product iterations.
  • Collaborate closely with department leaders to provide transparency into priorities and roadmap.
  • Breakdown nebulous business concepts/requests into easy-to-understand problems/opportunities.
  • Facilitate scoping and iterative delivery planning sessions.
  • Own backlog priorities and work with delivery team to iteratively scope and groom work as needed.
  • Ensure JIRA tickets and product specification documents are created based on requirements from ideation to delivery.
  • Define and communicate measures of success and objectives for delivery team.
  • Responsible for solution meeting business objectives and customer acceptance and adoption.
  • Proactively communicate status/risk, and document and follow-up on key decisions.
  • Main point of contact for a program and/or delivery team.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with delivery teams, customers, and company VPs and Executives.
  • Opportunity to manage associate product managers and/or product managers.

  • Strong vision and end-to-end ownership of a product and its evolution.

  • Knowledge of software design patterns and best practices.
  • Strong technical knowledge and comfort and familiarity with APIs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate how technical solutions solve business problems.
  • Distill big-picture concepts into specific, actionable product iterations.
  • Healthy balance of strategic focus while still executing and delivering results.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective communication and diplomacy skills with a strong ability to persuade and influence client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Capable of leading high-pressure discussion with demanding business owners.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized on several concurrent projects.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years technology product team experience serving as a product owner/manager.
  • Experience working in an agile software development environment is a must.
  • Experience with travel/hospitality inventory systems (vacation rental, hotels, etc.) is desired.
  • Knowledge of the travel distribution ecosystem, specifically intermediary systems used to distribute flight and hotel content (rates, availability, photos/descriptions, etc.); for example, GDS, Switch, Channel Manager, etc. is desired.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com platform is a plus.
  • Prior experience as a software engineer is a plus.
  • Agency/consultant experience is a plus.
  • Experience using JIRA/Atlassian tools is a plus.
  • People management experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree optional.

Compensation - $100,000 - $140,000 Base Salary

We believe in building a compensation structure that reflects the comparable market pay rate for positions at companies similar in size, revenue generation and geographic location; in addition to individual factors including seniority, performance-based merit, education/training and experience related to scope of responsibilities.

 

Bonus – This position is eligible for the company’s bonus plan, to the extent offered, at a target bonus percentage of up to 10% of your annual salary.

Benefits – This position is eligible for a health and welfare benefits package including medical, dental & vision insurance.

FAM Trip – This Position is eligible for the Employee Familiarization Travel Program following three (3) consecutive months of employment. This program provides you up to one seven (7) day reservation in an eligible Inspirato property per your employment calendar year – subject to seasonal property demands and the company Employee Familiarization Travel Program Terms and Conditions.
