Overview:

Alteryx, Inc. is looking for a Sr. Product Manager to develop the future of our core product, Alteryx Designer. This role involves defining strategy and roadmap, interfacing with Sales and internal stakeholders to educate and gather feedback on the Designer experience, working with engineering to define release schedules and features and having a deep understanding of both desktop applications for data analysts and moving desktop applications to the browser.

The Sr. Product Manager for the Alteryx Designer will have a strong understanding of the BI market, data prep and blend processes and user experience for data and analytics solutions. They must understand browser-based experiences deeply, including touch interfaces and accessibility and be able to define unique requirements for moving Alteryx Designer to the browser.

Responsibilities: 

  • Define the product requirements to maintain and improve our position as a leader in the space
  • Define requirements to enhance the current Alteryx Designer product’s UX
  • Capture customer feedback, establish the potential value to adding new features to Designer and work with engineering to set timelines for deliverables
  • Define requirements to modify the look and feel of Designer as we move functionality to a browser-based experience
  • Establish tracking metrics for product usage and adoption and distribute relevant information to internal team as well as external stakeholders
  • Work closely with Engineering team leads in determining the technical feasibility and timelines for releasing new features in Designer
  • Own the successful delivery of new releases for Designer, beta through launch
  • Gather competitive intelligence, perform market audits and define and align strategy and roadmap
  • Evangelize the value of our core product both internally to sales and marketing and external at customer events

 Requirements:

  • 5+ years proven software/application Product Management particularly in the data and analytics space
  • Bachelor Degree in technical field (science, computer science, data & databases, etc.) preferred
  • Technical background; strong experience with data prep, blend and transformations as well as workflow and browser-based technologies
  • Strong project management, interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and verbal/written communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across organizational teams in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Experience managing a team preferred
  • Effective documentation skills with ability to absorb and articulate technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Problem solving skills; strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Excellent teamwork skills, ability to manage, interpret and influence cross functional teams
  • Experience with databases or data-related products a plus
  • Experience working in Enterprise B2B SaaS businesses a plus
  • Experience working with Alteryx a strong plus
