Principle duties and responsibilities:
- Identifies key market opportunities/needs and industry trends within the assigned market segment and makes recommendations to drive products forward relative to both new and existing products, applications and services through enhancements, research, pricing, voice of the customer, analysis, and reporting
- Develops unique value propositions for market sub-segments and products
- Conducts market segmentation and prioritizes customer growth opportunities
- Monitors and reports on segment(s) bookings performance
- Collaborates with Product Management team on obtaining Voice-of-Customer (VOC) with respect to existing products and evolving customer/market needs
- Partners with Product Management, Sales and Marketing to track competitors and develop winning strategies for competitive positioning
- Develops pricing strategy for new and existing products. Coordinates with global colleagues to insure consistent pricing and positioning with global customers
- Develops innovation pipeline through the evaluation of new product concepts, market opportunities and go to market strategy
- Coordinates innovation projects within segment(s) to secure growth and provide ongoing prioritization of opportunities
- Partners with the Go-To-Market team in creating and executing effective go-to-market strategies and marketing campaigns that are customer-needs focused
- Leads new product and/or application launches in assigned market segment(s)
- Develops/maintains industry and segment knowledge and tracks emerging trends; stays up to date with industry and regulatory trends that influence product requirements, purchasing and utilization
- Is seen as a market expert to guide Product Management, Sales and Marketing within the organization
- Customizes language and/or pricing in SOWs
- Works jointly with Marketing team to effectively communicate points-of-difference and key buying rationale for core products; clarify why customers should buy GHX products now and in the future
- Communicates the current win / loss opportunity detail to the Sales and Product Management Applications team; works with the Marketing team to make recommendations to improve win/loss ratios using analytical and personal interviews with customers
- Attends/exhibits/presents at key conferences
- Develops and maintains key industry and customer relationships
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master degree preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of Product Management and/or Marketing experience
- Significant experience contributing to a senior management team. This assumes participation in strategic and business planning, product strategy, operations, sales, marketing, and overall business direction
- Experience working directly or indirectly in healthcare supply chain
- Understands the competitive landscape including pricing, product features, applications and innovation to drive business results
- Strategic thinker and has strong analytical skills (business modeling, results tracking and interpretation)
- Experience translating product capabilities into compelling value propositions and world-class solutions
- Experience in customer journey mapping and lifecycle management, in particular delivering value to customers through a family of solutions over their lifetime
- Experience launching new technology products to disrupt markets through innovative ideas balance with market research
- Ability to work in an international and matrix environment
- Communication and diplomacy skills necessary to guide, influence and convince others
- Ability to efficiently plan and manage numerous projects and tasks simultaneously
- Understanding of the supply chain and payments industry
- Demonstrated track record of capturing and leveraging VOC to tangible product impact
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills (oral and written communication).
- Knowledge of pricing strategies
- Minimum of 60% travel required
Preferred Qualifications:
- GHX knowledge (products and business operations)
- Possesses a deep understanding of GHX customers – how they buy, why they buy, when they buy and how best to reach them
- Prior strategic Sales experience
- Prior experience in a product/strategic marketing or pragmatic marketing leadership role
- Healthcare experience across multiple segments, e.g. hospital, medical supply manufacturers, GPO
- Industry group experience; preferably in a leadership role.
