The Solutions Consultant at StarRez serves an integral role in the relationship between StarRez and our customers by demonstrating the wide range of the StarRez solution, aiding in the identification of customer needs, and supporting the creation and implementation of value-add solutions for those needs. The Solutions Consultant serves as a product expert for the Community Relations and Sales teams by providing effective demonstrations of StarRez functionality on a regular basis.

Major Accountabilities

Demonstrations, Customer Service, Customer Education

  • Position new products and services through demos and discovery calls to new and existing customers as ways to enhance their operation.
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites to provide in-person product demonstrations
  • Communicate customer feature requests and business requirements back to the product team to help shape the direction of the product
  • Serve on the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) committee to test new production functionality and advocate for customer needs in the product.

Communications and Collaboration

  • Coordinate monthly webinars for current and prospective customers with the Community Manager.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager with product features and screenshots for marketing materials.
  • Liaison with the Learning and Content team to ensure product overviews are current and showcase product functionality.
  • Actively work to build strong relationships by directly communicating with other departments across the organization including New Business, Support, Professional Services, and Development.

Training and Development

  • Train Community Relations and Sales teams to demonstrate new product functionality.
  • Use data and technology to support product decisions.
  • Attend industry trade shows as needed

Other

  • Additional Duties and Projects as assigned and required by business needed
  • Travel as needed (less than 15% of the time)

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Expert knowledge of StarRez and/or other Student Housing products and how they are used by our customers;
  •  BS/BA in  Business, IT,  Operations, or Marketing /related discipline/related field preferred but not required
  • 1 to 2 years professional experience working with cross-functional teams and departments.
  • Customer Service experience - able to actively listen and focus on resolving the needs of internal and external customers
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork, and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions within an organization
