Position Description:
The Software Product Analyst operates as the main point of contact between the API Product Owner and various stakeholders of Customer Facing APIs such as Software Engineering teams, API Customers, Global Sales, Customer Success Teams, Marketing, and others to support marketing campaigns, strategic integrations, new feature requests and enhancements, and metrics reporting. Works closely with API Product Owner and Software Engineering teams to ensure teams are contributing to the company roadmap and making data-driven decisions to positively support the business and drive revenue growth.
An effective Software Product Analyst should be effective at software requirements gathering, data analysis, problem-solving, critical thinking, and working within the scrum agile framework. In this role, the Software Product Analyst will gain a deep understanding of product development and functional group business processes within our application architecture at an accelerated pace and take responsibility for teaching self and asking thoughtful questions of management. An ability to understand software implementations in an API-first customer portal-driven environment and recommend decisions based on Product Management and Engineering parameters are essential. A self-driven and collaborative individual with a hunger to solve problems, support customers’ digital transformations, and improve operational performance will excel in this position.
Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned.
Work with the API Product Owner to outline user flows, technical requirements, test scenarios, and test data for enhancements and projects in line with business requirements and company roadmap
Onboard new customers to external APIs and works with Global Sales, Customer Success, Business Development acting as an API advocate and champion
Apply advanced analytical reporting methods to investigate or track user adoption, success, and proactively identify improvements
Test new and existing features to identify weaknesses and present business cases for enhancements, optimizations, and inefficiencies
Assist in making business decisions relating to system implementation, application modification, maintenance, etc.
Participate in scrum events like Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Retros
Help maintain project documentation
Ability to work with a team effectively in an ever changing and ambiguous environment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, Data Analytics/Big Data, or Business with a technical emphasis is a plus
1-3 years business requirements for software & data analysis experience or related experience
Understanding of Agile methodologies
Proficient knowledge of APIs and API best practices
Moderate level of Salesforce.com knowledge, including but not limited to object design and reporting structures
Microsoft Office platform including Excel and Powerpoint
Experience working in Jira and Aha! is preferred but not required
Comfortable with understanding and applying material conditional logic
Capable of independently solving logic-based problems
Strong desire for teamwork and working in group settings
Capacity to organize around multiple projects and meet various deadlines
Aptitude for learning new/different processes within the company to better understand other data architectures and workflows
Attention to detail and a basic understanding of aesthetics is essential
A general understanding of telecom is preferred
CO pay range: $75,500-$105,630
