Security Technical Product Manager, Detection & Response
US-REMOTE / Full-Time
As a Security Technical Product Manager working on Engineering Security programs, you'll play an important role, partnering with teams across Zoom to dig into some of our most challenging security related business problems and leading the efforts to resolve them. Providing oversight and management as part of the Zoom Security team, we ensure Zoom has a robust security control infrastructure that continuously protects our customers. To meet these goals, we must understand and track what controls operate at all levels of the infrastructure, monitor their operation, and lead efforts to find and eliminate gaps. At Zoom, Security, Privacy, and Compliance form the foundation on which we build our products, and the ideal candidate is passionate about ensuring that foundation stays strong by continuing to mature and drive improvements to the Detection & Response space.
In this role you will:

  • Partner and collaborate with key stakeholders to help drive the Detection & Response roadmap, delivering critical capabilities through managing large, complex and impactful initiatives in partnership with Incident Response, Detection Engineering, Threat Intel, Threat Hunting and other cross functional teams within and outside of Security
  • Have expertise and motivation to drive Detection & Response programs, and understand its importance in the organization
  • Drive program maturity through end-to-end planning processes, from program planning, initiation, and execution
  • Define success metrics for Detection & Response in partnership with team leads from each functional area and establish reporting cadence
  • Work with Governance teams to create documentation, and policies that fit within Zooms Culture, using your leadership, quick iteration, and good judgment skills to identify when these are required
  • Effectively communicate program results to a broad audience, including engineers and senior leadership


We are looking for people who have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in driving Detection & Response Security programs for Security organizations
  • Experience driving enterprise level Detection & Response solutions and processes and understand their functions within the security stack
  • Experience in Information Security Program/Product Management, including gathering and transforming requirements into actionable work items
  • Eagerness to learn and optimize how we work across Security, creating processes and other software tools as needed
  • Willingness to take ownership of projects important to the organization and drive the change within the organization
  • Ability to drive clarity in an ambiguous environment, focusing on business goals and priorities
  • Ability to work across multiple teams and organizations to drive clarity and alignment to ensure successful execution of defined roadmap and deliverables
  • 5-7 years of experience in technical leadership or product/program management in a technical field
  • Ability to deliver and manage detailed technical documentation as needed in partnership with engineering and operations counterparts
  • Understanding of global security and privacy regulations
