Are you seeking to work in a Cyber Security business dominating its market? The Webroot Product team is looking for a dynamic, self-starting, and experienced Product Manager to drive our Security Awareness Training service in the SMB and MSP market space.

You are likely to have launched new services to market and completed a product close-down (End of Life).  

 

As the Product Manager, Security Awareness Training, you will be directly responsible for delivering the vision and strategy for your product across our various channels globally. Working closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and our Channel/Partners, you will be an authority and evangelist on activities in this space. You will be directly responsible for new product releases and helping define a unified product experience for our customers.

You possess a blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You will be a knowledgeable and experienced in either the Cyber Security or User Training software space and must be able to quickly ramp up knowledge on our service offerings to hit the ground running.

Using a modified Agile (Scrum) development methodology, you will work with development team members and other Product Managers to execute the product roadmap and define the associated release requirements for the development team.

Reporting to the Product Director, Networks, this role will redefine your previous experience with responsibility, and an opportunity for the right candidate to progress into managing other team members/gain greater responsibility in the long term.

Note – this role requires travel to Webroot offices, Customer and third-party sites in North America, Europe, and Asia (25-35%).

Responsibilities:

  • Own and understand market needs; build a product vision, strategy and roadmap for the Security Awareness Training Product portfolio.
  • Partner with and manage external vendors responsible for creation and provision of additional course content for the services content library.
  • Measure the success of published training content from multiple perspectives, provide regular metrics/updates to leadership.
  • Using data driven decisions to prioritize, enable, and deliver.
  • Own and drive data collaboration from sales, region, channel, support, engineering etc.
  • Highly visible and social – the role requires the ability to drive cross-team collaboration and building relationships with key stakeholders, often negotiating and balancing different teams needs.
  • Partner with other Product managers and development teams to deliver a unified product experience with input from customers, prospects, analysts, advisory teams and internal product experts.
  • Make tough prioritization choices and find creative solutions to hard problems.
  • Drive the feature delivery lifecycle: research customer/user needs; assist in writing user stories with Agile Team Coordinators, partner with the UX team to design and prototype; work with engineering to develop, test and deliver a marketable product on time; collaborate with customer facing roles to drive market awareness and customer adoption.
  • Represent Webroot as a domain and product expert.
  • Managing the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Define and contribute to pricing, positioning, and sales/marketing collaterals;
  • Analyzing current and future partner relationships for the product portfolio;
  • Assist with internal and external communication.
  • Interface directly with customers and the Webroot support team on customer escalations.

Required Skills:

  • 2 years of Product Management experience, at least 1 of which in the Cyber/Network Security or User Training Software industry
  • Demonstrable experience of ramping up knowledge on emergent technologies e.g. Machine Learning in the Cyber Security (or similar) market.
  • Knowledgeable in the Managed Service Provider space.
  • Experience of new product releases or acquisition integrations.  
  • A self-starter with proven ability to take initiative as well as balance competing priorities. Displays a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to tune messaging based on audience
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with others in a diverse team environment
  • Customer First/Customer Excellence attitude
  • Highly collaborative and able to partner effectively with both technical and field sales teams
  • Agile, adaptive and enjoy working in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Product Evangelism - As a key market and product expert, you will develop and deliver product presentations, and briefings to partner, industry analyst, and press audiences

Desired Skills:

  • Strong interest in micro/bite-sized learning, personalization, responsive design and other emergent learning methods
  • Product Management experience in a Cyber Security training software business
  • Product Management experience with a SMB/Enterprise based Security Company.
  • SaaS/Cloud computing experience.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies like Scrum.
  • Experience bringing new products to market
  • Experience with Lean Delivery, Product Discovery, Lean Canvas
