About the Role
As the first product manager for Island Cloud, you will own the complete product lifecycle for a distributed cloud computing service that takes advantage of Crusoe’s patented stranded energy recovery systems. You will design a platform that brings developers joy and saves them money. You should have an entrepreneurial spirit with a proven track record of taking a product from the conception & definition phase through engineering and design, and finally to market.

Responsibilities

• Understand the cloud services ecosystem, markets, competition, and user requirements in depth
• Gather feedback from customers, support and other stakeholders to inform new feature work and priorities
• Define clear product objectives and build the roadmap that you think will accomplish them
• Work closely with the software engineering team to design, schedule, and deliver in an agile environment to launch products and services to external customers
• Work with the colocation services team to ensure reliable and high bandwidth solutions are available
• Work collaboratively with networking, operations, legal, finance and other cross-functional teams
• Understand the High Performance Computing (HPC) hardware market, and recommend purchases based on customer/industry needs
• Make sure our sales, marketing, and PR teams are in sync and telling the most compelling story
• Evangelize Island Cloud both internally and externally

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines or equivalent experience in technical product leadership roles
• Minimum of 5+ years experience in engineering or product management with expertise in enterprise cloud compute products for developers
• Technical competence with distributed systems, networking, storage, and security
• Excellent organization, written and verbal communications skills suitable for presentation to senior executives
• Experience participating in the sales cycle and handling customer support escalations
• Analytical background sufficient for querying and analyzing data to inform product updates

Salary range: $150k – $180k
