Job Duties and Responsibilities
DISH Wireless is seeking a Data Product Owner to join our Regulated Services (RS) team. This is a highly collaborative and strategic role that interacts frequently with internal teams and external vendors.
The Wireless Regulated Services (RS) team is responsible for establishing and maintaining operational compliance for most services deployed by DISH Wireless that are regulated under federal and state laws. This team engineers, deploys, and maintains regulatory programs including - but not limited to - E911, Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA), STIR/SHAKEN, N11, and others.
The RS Data team is responsible for the analysis of regulatory data, data visualization, performance management, and compliance reporting. The ideal candidate will lead the Regulated Services Data Team and will report to the Head of Regulated Services. The key responsibilities of the RS Data Team are to:

  • Establish and maintain E911 call routing for DISH's 5G VoNR Wireless network.
  • Understand compliance requirements and validate test results for regulatory programs.
  • Develop metrics to assist in workload prioritization based on regional launch schedules and maintenance of launched markets.
  • Design dashboard visualizations to assist in the communication, oversight, and reporting of regulatory programs.


In this role, you will:

  • Manage and grow the existing processes and tools to accommodate new regulatory requirements, including roadmap planning.
  • Expand automation and analytics into network and performance monitoring.
  • Evolve and streamline the data team's management processes into an agile scrum structure.
  • Own, develop, and maintain a healthy backlog of features and stories.
  • Assist in crafting leadership communications to ensure RS requirements are properly included in organizational strategies.
  • Provide training and coaching to internal and external dashboard users.

Skills, Experience and Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Engineering, or related discipline with 6+ years of experience is preferred. 8+ years of demonstrable job experience in the data field will be considered in lieu of education.
  • Deep understanding of data architecture, databases, and data consumption patterns in shaping products in AWS (or other cloud environment).
  • Product Management experience.
  • Data infrastructure, processes and automation management.
  • Agile team management including workload management & resource prioritization.
  • Metric design and implementation.
  • Ability to interface and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Experience managing in an Agile environment including defining and documenting product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively build vision, strategy, roadmap, and drive execution on data and analytics products.
  • Informal or formal leadership experience.
  • Experience analyzing business needs for a data organization.
  • Ability to coach and grow the team.


Salary Range
Compensation: $87,500.00/Year

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
