Based in Denver, CO – and backed by 3 of the top venture capital firms in the state – CommercialTribe offers the unique opportunity to interface with and influence senior sales leaders at the most progressive companies on the planet (e.g. Hubspot, NVIDIA, ADP). The Product Owner will be a part of the Product team and report directly to the VP of Product.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

• Work closely with Product Management and Design to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value
• Own the product backlog and manage to high quality and depth through iteration planning, feature grooming, and elaboration of user stories
• Play an active role in key agile ceremonies especially feature grooming, story grooming, and pointing
• Team closely with engineers and designers to ensure iterations are executed efficiently and with predictability
• Research and analyze market needs, user needs, and provide inputs to the product roadmap
• Engage with customers and prospects for requirements gathering, user research, or feedback sessions
• Support the data-driven management approach by helping to instrument reporting and always keeping an eye the key metrics
• Keep abreast of agile best practices and trends

Key Performance Measures

• Ability to maintain target backlog depth (e.g. 2 sprints)
• Quality of user stories
• Support of target user engagement, retention, and satisfaction metrics

Requirements and Experience

• At least 3 years of experience as a product owner in an agile software development environment
• Experience with modern, enterprise SaaS products
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of integrating UX and design into agile processes
• Proven ability to influence people internally and externally to drive outcomes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong business and technical aptitude
• Very detail-oriented and organized
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to excel in a dynamic environment
• Local to Greater Denver
• Bachelor’s degree
