Product Manager
The Product Manager-Data is responsible for the maturation of a world class data asset serving the GHX Analytics & Insights portfolio. The Product Manager will have particular responsibility for data serving the Demand Insights product, which leverages unique GHX data sets to deliver actionable analytics to manufacturers of products that serve the health care industry.The Product Manager partners with a broad array of internal and external stakeholders and contributors to ensure the delivery of successful products that apply data to helping GHX customers obtain valuable insights. This role includes gathering requirements, prioritizing work, and collaborating with on-shore and off-shore development team members to meet delivery timeframes and other success metrics.This is a remote role.Key Responsibilities
- Build a data product roadmap that effectively prioritizes the delivery of value to customers
- Lead the day-to-day execution against the roadmap, working with development, data science, solution delivery, support, and other cross-functional teams
- Act as subject matter expert for the data going into Analytics & Insights products, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate knowledge, and resolve issues
- Particular areas of focus include:
- Working with customers to determine data requirements, including calculation methodologies, statistical attributes, quality metrics, and delivery methods and cadence
- Working with customers and internal teams to automate the identification and presentation of valuable insights from the data
- Identifying, prioritizing, and detailing the product requirements for the ingestion of additional data assets that will add value to customers
- Coordinating with engineering, operations, and data science teams across the data pipeline to ensure the effectiveness of the resulting data product
Key Duties
- Manage the data product roadmap, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and cross-domain and cross-functional interdependencies
- Work with customers and other stakeholders to define data use cases
- Collaborate with development and other domain and cross-functional teams to translate the roadmap and requirements into releases with defined scope and levels of effort
- Manage the product backlog, grooming stories and establishing priorities
- Liaison with other product managers, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to set expectations regarding product capabilities and delivery timelines
- Manage releases to ensure successful product introduction, coordinating milestones across teams
- Work with development, support, and customer operations to monitor product performance and proactively identify opportunities for product improvements
- Identify risks, issues, and problems, proposing mitigation plans to overcome obstacles
- Able and willing to travel approximately 10% of time

Required Education, Certifications, and Experience
- B.S. degree in computer science, data science, or a related discipline, or a combination of education and related experience
- 3+ years in a product management, product owner, or technical product management role
- Experience with SaaS delivered applications and business models
- Experience working within an Agile methodology
- Experience with data analysis, data manipulation, SQL or related, and Excel
- Familiarity with data science methodologies
- Understanding of cloud technology including AWS, Redshift, S3, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a technology-related field
- Experience performing data science
- Experience with data services products
- Experience working with Looker, Tableau, or other similar reporting and data visualization software
- Experience with solutions serving medical device or supplies manufacturers
- Certifications in relevant product management and Agile development methodologies
- Experience in creating data visualizations
Key Differentiators
- Prior success in launching new products, whether in a startup or within an established company
- Prior success in building applications that deliver data and insights around that data
- Solid background in data analysis and visualization
- Deep experience in analytics, data science, data visualization, etc.-with an emphasis on documenting business requirements and success criteria for projects in those areas
- Experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of one or more of the personas served by the portfolio
Estimated salary range for this position: $100,000 - $125,000The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of GHX's total compensation package for employees.
