DAT is looking for a Product Manager to join our team. This is a remote-based position working with our team in Denver.

This is your opportunity to contribute to developing market-leading benchmarking within a consortium of transportation buyers, specifically North American shippers. 

FMIC currently interacts with hundreds of companies spanning over $20B in freight expense in markets for North American truckload (including dry-van, temperature-controlled, flatbed, and intermodal), North American less-than-truckload (LTL), global ocean container and European/CIS markets.  Our services are offered to buyers of transportation services including major shippers and 3PLs with global operations.    

 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop industry-leading content services utilizing the process of collecting large quantities of transactional information, analyzing results and communicating to consortium members relevant market-driven insights through the Pulse platform.
  • Develop insights and innovations specifically tailored to buyers of transportation.
  • Aid and support sales activities as key owner of all product/services capabilities.
  • Develop industry-leading content and support webinars/whitepapers targeting specifics of emerging markets.
  • Support technical needs of customers providing confidence in data-driven content through technical support of benchmark results.
  • Support Product Development teams on content format and design.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise and knowledge of our services and recommend ways to address new and evolving client needs.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Must be able to work independently and manage start-up related challenges effectively. Adaptation and understanding specific market nuances are key to successful start-up efforts.
  • Prefer experience serving senior executives with decision support analysis, must be able to convert ideas into solutions/insights.

The Skills You’ll Need:

  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (preferred) or equivalent degree from a leading institution in business, logistics, supply chain management or a related major – or undergraduate degree with 3-5 years transportation industry experience.
  • Strong applied statistics background
  • Possess excellent client communication and management skills and experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of transportation/logistics pain points and related cost drivers is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of business beyond core functional expertise.
  • Outstanding presentation, facilitation, Strong interpersonal skills (maturity, good judgment, diplomacy), communication skills.
  • Appropriate comfort level and presence with senior logistics executives as well as the ability to engage all levels of decision-makers and influencers from front-line employees to senior management.
