Job Description
The AdCellerant team is looking to hire a Product Owner to help guide the brand through the company’s future business endeavors. The Product Owner will be responsible for building and maintaining the product backlog, taking input from on-site Product Managers and development teams, as well as enabling development teams to run an efficient agile scrum process, leading or delegating as necessary. This individual will be a self-starter – dedicated and independent in their work. AdCellerant is focused on growing more than 4x over the next 3 years and the Product Owner will play a key role in how the company evolves moving forward.
- Product Development and Engineering Workflow
- Own/manage ongoing product development and engineering workflow
- Coordinate with tactical teams and executives to make sure product and company expectations are aligned
- Report on ongoing progress towards achieving milestones
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Technology Trends / Emerging Markets
- Stay up to speed on industry developments as it relates to specific company products
- Continually vet vendors and providers for incremental product development opportunities
- Client Relations
- Monitor, seek out and explore client feedback on existing company products shaping the future development of the product roadmap
- Hold client advisory meetings to understand where products are falling short and how they can be improved
- Product Development
- Generate product descriptions
- Gather required resources
- Show experience with managing project plans, timelines, and roadmap
- Provide ongoing reporting
- Create wireframes (working with on-site UX team)
- Vendor Management
- Vet vendors for projects
- Align vendors with internal timelines/schedules
- Hold vendors accountable
Qualifications
- 2-3 years managing a SCRUM / Agile team
- 5 years of software product ownership experience
- Experience as a project administrator in the information technology sector
- Experience with product ownership tools such as JIRA/Pivotal Tracker/Rally/etc
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
