What we do:

Since 1998, SambaSafety® has been the pioneer and leading provider of driver risk management software in North America. Our mission is to guide our customers including employers, fleet managers and insurance providers to make the right decision at the right time. By collecting, correlating and analyzing motor vehicle records (MVRs) and other data sources, we identify driver risk and enable our customers to modify their drivers’ behavior, reduce accidents, ensure compliance, and lower costs — ultimately improving driver and community safety.

What we’re looking for:

SambaSafety is looking for an experienced and motivated Product Manager to lead existing products and identify new solutions for our customers. You will build products from existing ideas and help to develop innovative solutions based on industry research and contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a blend of business and technical savvy, the ability to maintain a big-picture vision, and the drive to make vision reality. You must enjoy spending time with customers to understand their problems and find innovative solutions for the broader market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Tracking and analyzing product performance
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by customer and market engagement
  • Driving a solution set across multiple teams through requirements gathering and positioning
  • Working with engineering to define product requirements
  • Working with marketing to develop product positioning, benefits and target customers
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute
  • Evangelizing product offerings internally and externally
  • Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product

What we want: 

  • Passion for innovation and ability to work effectively in a team and individual setting
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups while eliciting requirements
  • 1+ years of software product management or related experience
  • B2B SaaS software experience a plus
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner a plus and/or Pragmatic Marketing training a plus
  • Bachelors degree. Business, Marketing, or Computer Science a strong plus
  • This position requires up to 25% travel to customer and non-customer sites
