Product Manager, Sr.
Overview
The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for managing the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with software engineering to deliver winning products. This position will partner with sales, marketing and support teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Essential Functions
- Define the product strategy and roadmap
- Research and monitor existing client base, industry trends & developments to identify potential new product opportunities
- Use customer and market research and data analysis to communicate product vision to management and various stakeholders
- Drive innovation and design of new and existing products and product features to deliver company goals
- Being an expert with respect to the competition
- Develop core product value prop and partnering with marketing to develop core positioning and messaging for the product
- Work with other departments to establish a design, technology, and product development strategy, ensuring products meet user and business needs
- Challenge cross-functional team to think boldly and creatively and then funnel that energy into concrete products and execution plans
- Manage software development team’s back log
- Perform product briefings and demos for certain customers
- Provide product training as needed
Required Competencies
- Technical aptitude and experience working with software engineering teams
- Demonstrated success defining and launching SaaS products
- Experience working within an agile development framework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends
Requirements
- 3+ years of SaaS Product Management experience
- Technical experience with a degree in business, computer science, or related field
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Experience in writing user stories and addressing real world customer needs
