About the team
At FIS, we are on a mission to modernize our technology and supercharge developers with APIs that are simple to integrate yet powerful. The Developer Experience and API Product team owns the vision for how we empower developers with innovative tools, APIs and self-service experiences.
What you will be doing

  • Demonstrate leadership by establishing and articulating a clear API & Event Product strategy for the CDS and imaging divisions within BSG with a clear vision of success as to how goals and objectives will be achieved.
  • Manages API/Event product backlog by ensuring changes in market and business priorities including integration needs and technology advancements are reflected.
  • Own and execute the API/Event roadmap based on the API & Event strategy for your products - communicate both the business value and the technical rationale behind your product decisions.
  • Key contributor to Business Experience API product roadmaps and Enterprise Strategy
  • Prepare business cases for new product ideas that reflect evidence of market demand and financial viability.
  • Prepares and presents product plans. Identifies risks and challenges, opportunities and growth strategies, business integration needs and retirement plans.
  • Presents monthly and quarterly status updates against the roadmap to stakeholders within the divisions responsible for.
  • Engages and interacts with customers/clients/Stakeholders during feedback sessions, focus groups, user groups with an aim of continuously improving the FIS API Ecosystem. Practices open and honest communications with clients.
  • Collaborates with senior management to provide content for market messages, sales collateral and as needed RFPs (request for proposal) relating to any new API/Event Products
  • Monitors and influences product revenue and profitability through customer relationships, sales and marketing, client services, product support and/or professional services organizations
  • Collaborate with internal partners to define the end-to-end client experience and ensure product launch readiness criteria are met in alignment with Business User Experience Standards
  • Some travel is required


What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
  • 3+ years in product management in a fast-paced company. You have a strong work ethic and know how to knock down barriers to achieve to your objective.
  • You will have 3-5 years of banking/financial industry knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge of APIs, Use Case and persona driven experiences
  • You will have outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • You will have Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment working with agile development teams
  • You are a very professional individual that has the ability to interact with all levels (CEO's, President's, Directors, etc.)
  • You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You will be a strategic thinker
  • You have a customer-oriented approach. You have an amazing ability to understand the customer's challenges and can articulate a vision to solve challenges to make an impact.
  • You have a strong interest in thought leadership and evangelism.
