We are seeking a Product Manager to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.
What you get to do:
As a Product Manager II for Activate, you will own the infrastructure, processes, and tooling that empowers our developers to rapidly deliver high quality services and experiences to our customers at growing scale. Uplight's industry leading Marketplace is a central hub for customers to purchase energy efficient products with instant rebates and enroll in utility-sponsored programs. Serving the majority of its customers in the U.S., Uplight's energy Marketplace has a higher Net Promoter Score than Netflix or Amazon. You're a flexible problem-solver, who uses technical knowledge and creative thinking to create strategies that optimize this line of business. You are ambitious, analytical, adaptable, and can work hand in hand with Product Development to assure timely delivery and integrations.

  • Manage and set product strategy for the Marketplace supporting infrastructure.
  • Identify opportunities to develop a new successful product or improve an existing one, adding necessary features to it.
  • Define the long-term mission of a product and build a clear, realistic plan of how to reach the desired result.
  • Perform market research, observe current industry trends, collect and analyze customer feedback, define pricing, and develop a marketing strategy.
  • Manage the entire product life cycle, prototyping and testing new features and changes to our product and processes.
  • Define, standardize, and optimize various workflows and tooling to drive developer adoption.
  • Lead a cross-functional group consisting of Engineering, Product Design, Consumer Operations, Information Systems, Accounting, Reporting, Finance, Legal, Customer Success, Customer Care, Operations, Implementation and external partners to ensure product goals and deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that cohesive solutions are built across Uplight's platform.
  • Deeply understand the system components and how our internal teams interact with them.
  • Create product requirements by synthesizing needs from customer feedback, market analysis, business case, technology projections and pricing analysis
  • Work closely with engineering and user experience (UI/UX), to accelerate the momentum of integrated solutions offerings. .

What you will contribute:

  • Full integration with 1-2 development pods, including planning and executing against a defined product strategy
  • Product voice and pod advocacy to cross-functional teams
  • Involvement in all stages of product development from exploration to delivery - collaborating with highly skilled data scientists, engineers, designers, and others along the way
  • Drive the creation of offer value propositions and core content for specific target market segments and use cases.
  • Oversee and drive products/solutions through the phase release or solutions release process including business case and resource requirements


What you bring to Uplight:
Experience shipping great products for a leading consumer, SaaS, or enterprise software company. You're a flexible problem-solver, who uses technical knowledge and creative thinking to create strategies that optimize this line of business. You're creative, strategic, ambitious, analytical and adaptable.

  • 3+ years of product management experience.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce.
  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience preferred.
  • Ability to write and express complex ideas clearly and succinctly.
  • Excellent analytical, teamwork, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to drive initiatives and ideas.
  • Experience with Agile and/or Scrum development.
  • Ability to be decisive and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management.
  • Entrepreneurial, business-focused mindset.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $105,000
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
