We are seeking a Product Manager for Invitae’s Ciitizen platform. Ciitizen enables patients to get insights into their health and participate in programs that advance research and therapy development. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving the development of one or more of the core applications that enable us to process and refine patient health data and make it useful for our patients and research customers.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the product definition, prioritization, development and improvement of our health data applications interfaces, features and APIs
  • Develop a deep understanding of the needs of our patients and researchers, and translate that understanding into a clear vision and actionable product roadmap 
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, subject matter experts and business stakeholders to build, test and refine new products and features
  • Foster an agile culture of rapid execution and refinement, effectively prioritizing the most impactful requirements/features and eliminating scope creep

What you bring: 

  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience as a product manager with a degree in computer science, informatics or similar technical discipline with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience. Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
  • Professional experience with healthcare interoperability standards (especially FHIR) 
  • Experience building applications or platforms leveraging clinical data
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering high-impact product outcomes
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate ideas to a variety of audiences and clearly document product proposals and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide cross-disciplinary teams to effective outcomes with high velocity
  • A strong passion for helping our patients and research partners

Preferred skills: 

  • Experience building tools/systems that clean and consolidate patient health data to create useful patient records and insights
  • Experience working with real world data to advance drug discovery and clinical research efforts in industry or academic settings

This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. USA National Pay Range

$116,000$145,000 USD
