To live up to our company’s mission, we are committed to delivering high quality project kits to our passionate crafting consumers. As a Product Development Assistant, you will play a critical role in developing these project kits by managing pattern design across many categories, collaborating with category experts to deliver technical excellence, and jumping in on as-needed graphic design projects.
Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain pattern template standards and collection specific iterations for multiple categories with cross-functional collaboration
  • Lead relationship with external printing vendor for on time deliveries, printing standards, and file uploads of physical patterns
  • Oversee pattern creation timelines and effectively inform team members of expected delivery dates while managing changing priorities
  • Support in as-needed eCommerce graphic design projects like packaging, class instructions, etc.
  • Develop expertise in project kit instructions, diagrams, and tools, and effectively communicate techniques to the team for optimal process execution
  • Work closely with the Product Development Team to develop designs into real textile prints, other products as needed
  • Partner with international mills to advance artwork through color and technique by reviewing strike offs and communicating through pitch sheets and spec sheets
  • Measure samples, organize product bins, and immersing oneself in physical product. This role is not always staring at a computer!
  • Manage quality assurance for pre-production goods with PPS and TOP sample checks

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design or related field
• 1+ years experience in Design, Product Development or related field
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Data-Merge, Excel
• An eye for color and ability to effectively give color direction for manufacturing
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables with strong organization skills and attention to detail
