Altvia is looking for a self-motivated experienced mid to senior level Product Designer with experience working across a variety of platforms. We are looking for a strong candidate that has experience in  organizing, creating and contributing to a cross platform design system, and has the ability to sketch (in their desired format) to generate big-picture ideas for early-stage UX work. You will be responsible for end to end design deliverables. Candidates need to possess experience with project estimation to prioritize deadlines. This member of the design team will work directly with the Director of User Experience and Design and on the wider product team. Experience planning and facilitating user research and usability tests needed to validate design decisions is a huge plus!

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to understand expectations in order to create design solutions that resonate with end users.
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Assume ownership responsibilities of design system/component library, and work closely with front end developers.
  • Mid to high-fidelity Wireframes/mockups, and ability to create user flows, to demonstrate and support product requirements.
  • Proven knowledge of design thinking/user-centered design (UCD) process methods to digital applications from concept to launch.
  • Proven knowledge of new design trends and techniques.
  • Partner with the wider design and product team to drive cross-platform consistency.
  • Modify, enhance, and implement design specifications and assets suitable for implementation.
  • Create and maintain deliverables in an organized manner.
  • Initiate design deliverables that are engaging and balance between business goals and user needs.
  • Present and defend design decisions to leadership and stakeholders with the disposition of allowing for creative collaboration cross functionally.
  • Work with other designers and cross functional team members to understand business objectives, industry trends, and user needs.
  • Work with stakeholders to align Altvia’s brand voice and design deliverables to meet the needs of our varied end users.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies – weekly/daily design and development stand ups, and design reviews.
  • Partner with department leads to understand vision and strategy of your design deliverables.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Approximately 5 years of experience establishing the look and feel for various interfaces, for CRM’s, Saas platforms, Web and mobile apps.
  • An in-depth and portfolio proven knowledge of UX and UI design, interaction design and usability best principles, practices and software conventional patterning.
  • Proficient in Figma, Zeplin, Adobe Creative Suite, experience with Axure a plus, and an eagerness to learn new tools.
  • Experience creating user interface components in Figma.
  • Experience creating and maintaining design systems.
  • Experience prototyping in Axure RP and/or the willingness to learn.
  • Experience working in Jira to document the design process and attach deliverables.
  • Experience working in Miro to gain cross functional team insights and feedback.
  • Background and experience designing user-centered interaction models, wireframes and screen mockups.
  • An understanding of Atomic Design Methodology, to design using an 8pt grid system to deliver pixel perfect developer specs.
  • Firm grasp of design fundamentals demonstrated by a strong portfolio that includes design process of feature and flows of CRM, Saas platform system design.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a keen eye for typography and visual hierarchy.
  • Clear and effective communication skills in articulating design concepts and rationales.
  • A basic understanding of coding knowledge (no programming required, but you know the basic building blocks of HTML and CSS) so you can work hand-in-hand with engineers.
  • Create and organize production assets with attention to detail, including layer organization, and naming conventions in design tools.
  • Resize assets for different devices — tablet, mobile and web.
  • Ability to Juggle multiple projects while effectively managing timelines and expectations.

Bonus Points: Experience in the FinTech space, make sure to highlight this experience in your application submission.

    Total compensation for this role is market competitive, in the range of $100,000-$110,000 annually.
