Why this role?

As Product Analyst you'll keep the pulse of our products, providing accurate, timely insights about performance and adoption of our product offerings and empowering self-serve analysis across our product, engineering and marketing teams.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Helping define and then monitoring our top KPIs and conversion funnels, understanding our full product ecosystem to deliver actionable insights and recommendations on what's moving our most impactful needles
  • Gleaning insights from a variety of analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Firebase, Data Studio, Google Optimize, Tableau, Usabilla, Branch.io, Splunk, SQL, Excel & Big Query, Hotjar, and insights from our qualitative and quantitative research
  • Analyzing product performance as our products evolve, providing context with baselines, functional KPIs and external market data
  • Assisting teams with setting up and measuring impact of the experiments that they run, generally with Google Optimize, our Content Management System, or some other internal tools for testing. Provide new ideas for experiments based on your broad understanding of our data
  • Partnering with marketing, data analytics and web analytics/tag manager counterparts in maintaining a thorough and high-functioning analytics ecosystem, ensuring consistent alignment across these groups, strong data governance, and promoting self-service consumption of our insights across all departments in the business
  • Managing the backlog for our Web Analytics team, writing tickets, prioritizing work, and attending standups and elaboration sessions
  • Proactively working with marketing specialists to drive performance, ROAS and growth across; acquisition, retention, CRM & B2B marketing functions
  • Managing process for prioritization and delivery of both urgent ad-hoc and strategic long-term analysis requests
  • Consulting with Product teams to ensure thorough reporting requirements and implementations to measure the goals of the project, offering suggestions and best practices to help them maximize the value of their analytics, and assist with user acceptance testing as teams build out their analytics
  • Working closely with our data team, help product/tech teams assess what's best tracked in different ways, such as pros/cons of what should be tracked in Google Analytics or Branch vs. back-end data, how these datasets intersect in our data warehouse
  • Building and assisting others build dashboards, reports and alerting that help teams monitor their top KPIs and understand when they make changes that really help - or inadvertently hurt - the big needles we're trying to move as a business

For this role, we're requiring:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Expert knowledge of tracking websites and native mobile apps using Google Analytics, Firebase, Google Optimize, DataStudio, Tableau, and preferably Google Tag Manager, Branch.io, BigQuery, Splunk, SQL, Python and other big data, data warehouse, and analytics technologies. Related experience from tools like Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, Botify, Mixpanel, Pendo all helpful, but not required
  • Experience collaborating with product and marketing managers on attribution models, campaign analytics, analytical and statistical techniques and modelling (Multivariate/AB testing, funnel analysis, user segmentation and regression analysis)
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels and techniques for attracting and retaining both business and consumer audiences
  • Excellent communicator and influencer - able to consult effectively with our product and marketing teams, including product managers, product design/UX, product support, email marketers, digital advertisers, and content teams, to gather information and synthesize that into insights that help us move the business forward
  • Highly inquisitive, able to dive into the details, while knitting those into a cohesive big picture
  • A get-it-done, encouraging attitude coupled with the ability to effectively prioritize and organize your work to focus on delivering the most critical insights.

Education, Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a Product Analyst role or equivalent
  • Training in computer science, math, statistics, big data, and related disciplines
  • Experience in the recruitment sector ideal, but not essential
  • Strongly preferred: Front-end web, native mobile and marketing technology expertise to help tech and marketing teams triage gaps in their tracking and how to patch them.

Compensation

Base salary/pay of $60,000 – $117,000 per year, plus 10% annual bonus at 100% of plan targets tied to company and individual performance. Offer will depend on location and level of job-related knowledge, skills, abilities and experience.
