SecureWatch is a new subscription service from the DigitalGlobe International Defense and Intelligence team that delivers unprecedented access to geospatial intelligence for our mission partners around the globe. We are building the value of SecureWatch subscriptions by rapidly integrating many sources of geospatial data from open and proprietary sources. The SecureWatch Product Specialist is a geospatial data expert who is responsible for locating, curating and managing geospatial data that integrates with high resolution satellite images in the platform in order to deliver a powerful, integrated customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Search, discover, and evaluate open-source and proprietary sources of geospatial content
• Curate and manage geospatial content via our cloud-based hosting system
• Use the DigitalGlobe Unified Platform to develop analysis pipelines & applications for customers
• Condition and publish datasets to enable customer use cases and consumption
• Enrich metadata and contextual information layers to drive further insights from satellite Imagery
• Test data sources and ensure they meet customer expectations for accuracy and performance
• Assist with customer interactions and other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in geospatial information systems, remote sensing, or a related program
• Customer-first attitude
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with common GIS toolsets GDAL, QGIS, ArcMap, PostGIS, ENVI etc..
• Familiarity with common GIS service protocols WMS, WMTS, WFS, WCS, GeoJSON, ESRI Image Service
• Python experience a plus
• SQL query language a plus
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident
