Responsibilities

• Lead definition and implementation of best architectural and development practices while designing, developing, deploying technologically sound extensible products  
• Lead the mobile development team through implementation and frequent updates of Rosetta Stone products
• Architect for quick deployments while developing architecture for executing on a longer term strategic product vision
• Provide innovative solutions incorporating existing tools and platforms, modern technologies and industry best practices

Requirements

• Portfolio of iOS apps on the App Store
• 9+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years experience on iOS Platform, building, designing, implementing apps 
• Strong Swift development skills
• Strong grasp of current iOS technology and the mobile space in general
• Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices
• Solid experience delivering polished user experience
• Expertise in REST, data parsing and persistence
• Experience in designing data stores
• Experience with git, familiarity with git workflow, JIRA, Bitbucket, Stash or other set of agile development tools and workflows
• Strong problem solving skills
• Effective communications skills
• Strong interpersonal and social skills 
• Collaborative attitude & desire to mentor, cross-functional team experience
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent 

Big plus

• Experience designing RESTful service APIs
• Experience with web application frameworks
• Experience with AWS, other cloud computing platforms and services
• Portfolio with Android apps 
• MS in Computer Science or above
