Overview
Wunderkin’s inventory specialist will be responsible for accurate onhand inventory of our product - handmade hair bows - and intake 3600 bows per week. She/he will assist the demand planner in allocating weekly order plans to a team of 40+ seamstresses, both remote and in-house. Because Wunderkin Co employs/contracts a mix of in-house and remote [work from home] seamstresses to produce 14,000+ bows a month, this position requires being flexible and creative in your understanding of supply chain and our unique production model. This position will work closely with our e-commerce fulfillment manager to ensure accurate accurate transfers of finished goods onto the website and into the fulfillment department.
Responsibilities
Intake and track raw materials from vendors
Assist with production department with the allocation of fabrics to seamstresses
Allocate weekly orders created by demand planner, to our team of 40+ seamstresses
Communication with seamstresses and production team as needed
Intake finished bows weekly and manage the workflow from inventory department to fulfillment.
Work directly with Demand Planner to assist in them in executing the weekly order.
Work with fulfilment manager to maintain accurate inventory quantities in fulfillment room at all times, managing an auditing schedule.
Work with production team to track weekly yield increases or decreases
Analyze product and market trends to increase forecast accuracy
Assist with supply chain and PO tasks
Qualifications
BS in Business with a supply chain, merchandising, logistics emphasis (or similar)
Ability to predict, recognize and define problems, and generate, select and implement timely solutions
Ability to manage data from various streams, and create weekly workflows to aid in production.
Proficient with spreadsheets and google drive.
Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
An analytical mind with strong math skills.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to thrive and pivot in a fast-growth, collaborative start-up environment. You can think on your toes, and are energized by a young company and the ability to bring order to our current strengths (marketing and creative).
Ability to create processes and bring order/systems to an existing role.
Pay: $45,000 + health benefits + self-care stipend [401K coming soon!]
