Head of Product
Denver, CO - This is a leadership role at one of the most exciting and fast-growing consumer companies in Denver. On a mission to empower people to tell their stories effortlessly, beautifully and often, Artifact Uprising has experienced aggressive and profitable growth every year since its founding in 2012. We’re looking for a product leader who can accelerate our growth even further.
This Head of Product position will lead our product team and set the strategic direction for a product experience end to end. You’ll partner with our leadership team, VP of Engineering, as well as others on our product and engineering teams. You’ll identify and shape drivers of long-term growth for Artifact Uprising. You’ll create the organizational conditions where product development excellence delivers sustained business impact, and roll up your sleeves with the team to get the job done.
We’re fully remote at the moment and are in the process of defining what “back to office” will look like and when. The role will be based in Denver, CO by the end of 2021 and can be remote up to that point. The role will be a member of our executive team and report to our CEO.
Job Responsibilities
- Set and drive the digital product direction (including vision, strategy, objectives) for Artifact Uprising in a fast-paced environment
- Partner with leaders across the company to drive trajectory changing impact by delivering successful complex product initiatives
- Lead, inspire, and motivate, as well as develop and grow a team of product designers and product managers while shaping our product development approach and culture
- Evolve the product team through hiring, development, and org design, in close partnership with engineering
Qualifications
- 8+ years of work experience in software product development, including 4+ years of proven hands-on management experience of product managers and/or product designers
- Experience setting a product vision and strategy, and enabling the team to build product experiences that deliver measurable business impact at an ecommerce or DTC company
- Experience being a leader and people manager of high-functioning product teams composed of multiple disciplines, as well as hands-on from a product management perspective
- Well-versed in applying various quantitative and qualitative methodologies--from UX research to market research to a/b testing--to gain confidence in the product decisions you and your team make
- Innate product sensibilities that strip away friction, deliver customer delight, and push the Artifact Uprising product experience forward, with a perspective to say no to good ideas so the team can focus on the few, truly great ones
- Technically fluent with the ability to understand how the product experience and corresponding technical infrastructure support and inform one another
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end in dynamic environment
- An optimistic, ego-free embrace of vigorous debate, as well as a conviction that it’s better to be aligned than right
- Adept at fostering partnerships up, down, and across teams, functions, and departments
- Base Compensation Range - $170-$210k
