Job Summary:

Providing leadership and direction for one of the product portfolios - a group of related products.  The Group Product Manager (GPM) is responsible for creating and executing the strategy for their portfolio of products.  The portfolio product strategy must be in line with the overall product vision and strategy and is developed through collaboration with the Director and/or VP of Product, other GPMs and internal stakeholders. The GPM is responsible for setting the goals and measuring the outcomes of their group and its contribution to the overall product outcomes, which are set to support the business objectives set out by the Board and ELT.

GPMs are also people managers and are responsible for leading a team of various product managers and supporting them with creating roadmaps for their individual products, guiding the execution of their roadmaps, and developing their direct reports through coaching, mentoring and providing growth opportunities inline with individual personal development plans.

They provide support to Principal and Distinguished Product Managers to drive forward practice initiatives that increase product management capability and overall practice maturity.

This position reports to the VP of Product


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, lead, manage and develop a group of product managers to deliver innovative digital products
  • Provide analysis and recommendations serve to influence the business’s product strategy and ensure that the business makes informed and beneficial decisions when they are presented to the Director of Product Management/VP of Product and subsequently to the stakeholders
  • Support the day-to-day work of their direct reports and provide coaching to support the professional growth of their team members
  • Oversee the innovation and improvement of their product portfolio and day-to-day product activities. Oversee the product strategy for their portfolio in order to bring out the best results for the business
  • Identify and drive forward process improvements throughout the product organization that support increasing consistency, efficiency and clarity
  • Identify opportunities that lead to growth of the product through innovation while still maintaining the fundamental business goals/priorities
  • Identify issues and impacts in the strategies developed by the product portfolio team and works with their team to resolve issues and assess impacts
  • Build and strengthen relationships across the business to ensure strong alignment with GTM and operational teams through collaboration and by providing support
  • Partner up with other product departmental leaders in order to align and execute product strategies and ensure that each department receives the right level of support
  • Work closely with other GPMs to bring together portfolio roadmaps to deliver one cohesive vision for the platform
  • Recruitment of new personnel of the product management department, supported by the senior team members
  • Spearhead investigation and analyses on the product and product market. Develop the value proposition and market positioning for their portfolio including packaging. Work with the GTM teams to drive adoption and sales by collaborating on shared metrics and outcomes and influence the GTM strategy - target customers, channel strategy & packaging
  • Understand and live the core values of the company and contribute to the highly collaborative and positive work environment
  • Recruitment of new team members and directly supporting the professional growth of their direct reports through professional development plans, coaching and mentoring. GPMs with Directors and the VP to set and drive the culture of the team. In addition, they are responsible for building and strengthening relationships between Product and other departments
  • Be involved with customers, users, Software Engineers, Design and QA Personnel and other parts of the business to create requirements and proposed solutions and provide input into these processes (which may include, but are not limited to, ideation, algorithms, processes and feature design) which may produce intellectual property that belongs to Pushpay
  • Conduct research, analyze product and user trends, derive insights and create product requirements (which may include, but are not limited to, processes, designs, and automation in the form of code, documentation or scripts) that is then incorporated into Pushpay products, or the process of building products. This work may produce intellectual property that belongs to Pushpay

Required Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience in product management or equivalent
  • 5+ years working on a SaaS or App product, preferred
  • 5+ years managing and developing product management talent
  • 7+ years managing digital products and/or technologies
  • 5+ years planning mobile products and/or technologies
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
  • A demonstrated ability to independently solve ambiguous problems
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to align other GPMs and their product team to follow a common vision. GPMs must be able to lead by both influence and authority
  • Strong financial analytical capabilities that are used to further develop informed product strategies, which subsequently improves product performance
  • High level of collaboration and communication with different departments and different levels

 

THIS POSITION IS PHYSICALLY  LOCATED IN COLORADO SPRINGS, CO OFFICE

Salary and Benefits:

  • FTE: Salary range: $145/K - $165/K (DOE)
