To do this consistently, we need a world-class product system and frameworks so that product managers can do their best work. Your ability to build product processes, drive the execution of product decisions, analyze and report on product metrics and key initiatives is essential to this mission.


This role will be responsible for building and improving a customer-first, outcome driven product development process and framework. You will own the Product Operations roadmap and communicate the vision and direction of Red Canary’s product system. You will develop and maintain a system for collecting, analyzing and reporting on qualitative and quantitative product data. You will thrive in collaboration with product managers and various cross-functional team members as both customers and partners to better Red Canary product development processes as well as our product itself. You will be passionate about the product management discipline and understand the benefits of frameworks and processes and how to optimize them in a way that is effective at delivering customer value.

What You'll Do

  • Identify opportunities to improve our product system and processes. Find ways to automate product manager’s responsibilities and tasks to drive consistency and efficiency across product management as a whole
  • Develop and drive the vision for a world class product system for Red Canary and communicate it to the organization
  • Improve the interactions and processes between the product team and other departments like Support, Customer Success, Sales and Engineering
  • Collect, create and maintain product operations intelligence dashboards and facilitate reporting of product analytics (e.g. usage data, cohort analysis, churn, aha moments, customer feedback, support trends)
  • Build qualitative and quantitative feedback loops for Product. Streamline intelligence as a whole between the product team and its counterparts in Red Canary.
  • Maintain templates, guides, frameworks and how-to references and resources so the product team can operate efficiently
  • Build a great product operations team by recruiting, hiring, leading and identifying underperformance
  • Collaborate on the group’s charter with the VP of Product Management and communicate this charter cross-functionally
  • Drive communications across all product and engineering functions reinforcing process, policies and best practices
  • Develop and maintain a continuing education program for product managers
  • Serve as “Chief of Staff” for the VP of Product Management, attending all key Product Management leadership meetings and helping to ensure execution of Product team decisions

What You'll Bring

  • Seven or more years of experience with at least one year of people management responsibilities
  • Experience leading business analysis and decisions in a fast paced, scaling technology company
  • Past experience in project, program or product operations preferred
  • Expert in best practices in product management and/or product operations preferred
  • Demonstrated success in company-wide alignment and change management for teams of 300+
  • Experience in customer-first product systems similar to Red Canary’s, especially important is familiarity with modern customer validation techniques
  • Deep experience in data analysis and framing recommendations to support impactful product decisions
  • Strong outcome-focused leader, adept at using customer insight, competitive+trend analysis, analytics and judgement to set direction
  • Ability to shape and evolve ways of working, organizational structure, values and culture
  • Passion for building products. A growth mindset. Willingness to own problems and a desire to make things better
  • Demonstrated impact in a world class SaaS product environment

Targeted base salary range: $150,000 - $180,000 + bonus eligibility and equity depending on experience
