POSITION OVERVIEW
FRONTSTEPS is seeking a talented and experienced Director of Product Management to lead our Product team to grow our product portfolio consisting of three product lines, i.e. community portals, security and accounting, and multiple individual products. You will be responsible for the commercial success of our products and ultimately drive to improve the product P&Ls. You will be a mentor and coach to your Product Owners and drive the standardization and adoption of best practices within the group to span the entire product lifecycle.
You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy and a big picture vision, with the drive to execute and make that vision a reality. You will be responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering requirements from all product stakeholders (including customers and internal organizations), validating and prioritizing those requirements, defining the product vision and working closely with Development, QA, Sales, Marketing, Implementation, Support and Billing to ensure our company goals are met.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, communicate and get buy-in from all stakeholders on a Product Portfolio Roadmap
- Plan and execute on the entire product lifecycle from Concept to End-of-life
- Lead, coach and mentor the Product Line Owners to assume greater responsibilities over time
- Develop standardized processes and drive best practices within the organization
- Facilitate buy vs build decisions when options exist
- Establish and nurture partnerships to expand market reach and enhance the product portfolio
- Drive competitive analyses to gain deep insight into competitive threats
- Devise and execute go-to-market strategies, including pricing, promotion and placing
- Plan and execute consolidation strategies of overlapping products in the portfolio
- Collaborate with all internal functional departments to deliver maximum portfolio performance
- Drive regular reporting and own all requisite KPIs to ensure success of your portfolio
- Proactively address issues that may impair the ability of product in the portfolio to meet its strategic, financial, operational and technical goals
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will likely have the experience as follows:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technology; MBA desirable
- 15 years of experience of increasing product responsibility within a SaaS company serving an SMB market
- Deep understanding and mastery of driving an Agile product delivery model
- Successfully managed a portfolio of multiple product lines which include new and legacy products
- Demonstrated success interacting with and managing customer relationships
- Track record of managing organizations to achieve objectives through influence
- Delivered results by standardizing and driving best practices to support ongoing growth of the business
- Served as a business partner for company leadership across all functions and serving their needs effectively
- Demonstrated team leadership and success in developing staff capabilities
- Knowledge of HOA/Community Management industry would be a strong plus
