Fanatics needs you! As Director, Product Management – Cloud Platforms, you are a seasoned technical PM leader who is passionate about AWS, modern architecture and design patterns and data streaming platforms. In this role, your customer is our 600 person global technology organization. Your team will own the delivery of secure, automated, scalable and easy-to-use platforms for our tech teams to leverage. You are able to understand the nuance of existing and emerging privacy regulations and translate that into platform requirements that are flexible, scalable and auditable. You have a strong track record of delivering end-to-end solutions that create value for your organization. Responsibilities:
•Partner with the engineering leadership to define long term strategy of our Cloud Platform portfolio
•Document the long-term strategy and break down into iterative value creating backlog items for your team to execute
•Build a small world class team of technical product managers and continually grow every individual on your team
•Data centric and analytical approach to improving our developer experiences
•Prioritizing your product and team’s backlog of work
•Ability to manage multiple complex priorities
•Managing cross functional requirements and dependencies
•Participate in sprint planning and other agile meetings
•Scoping features and enhancements with development teams
•Drive product strategy discussions
•Evangelizing security, privacy and your team’s work
Qualifications:
•9+ Years of product management/ownership experience
•4+ Years of people management experience within a Product Management or Engineering team
•In-depth technical understanding of AWS infrastructure components (storage, compute, networking) as well as AWS platform services (Lambda, RDS, etc…)
•Experience working with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab, Circle CI, Jenkins, etc…
•Experience with data storage technologies such as Cassandra, ScyllaDB, and traditional relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc…)
•Experience with event driven platforms such as Kafka, Rabbit MQ, Kinesis, etc…
•Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
•Experience with compliance and global privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA or HIPAA
•Strong track record of delivery in prior roles that deliver material benefit
•Scrum or Agile Product Owner experience
•Experience with mobile, data or marketing is a big plus
•Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical, technical and problem solving skills
•Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment
•MBA or equivalent work experience
•Sense of humor, willingness to laugh at danger and an appreciation of the ironic are all pluses
