Kapost’s mission is to enable marketers to connect more authentically with their customers through content. We do this by building a single platform that lets our customers plan marketing campaigns, collaborate on content across teams, and measure the value of the work that they do. Our platform is used by some of the best B2B brands in the world like GE Digital, IBM, Salesforce, Adobe, and LinkedIn.

Opportunity

Kapost is the system that runs the operations of Marketing.  Key to achieving our vision of running the operations of Marketing is integrating with all the other Marketing tools that our customers use.  This both allows them to do their work more effortlessly through one coordinated system, but also positions Kapost a foundational system in a customer’s Marketing stack.  Today, we support over 40 integrations out of the box, as well as a host of integrations we custom build to support customers’ unique needs.

This is a very strategic role for the company.  For the first time we are forming a dedicated Integrations Engineering team, that will be responsible for all things Integrations related.  As the Director of Product, Integrations, you will be responsible for everything from the strategic relationships with Technical Partners, to laying out the vision for where our Integrations should go, to working with the Integrations Engineering team to make this vision a reality.

This position will report directly to the CTO.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building relationships with the technical marketing ecosystem, and specifically strategic partners.  Planning out win/win integrations, co-marketing to drive leads, hosting Webinars, etc
  • Integrations have traditionally been part of the “Platform Fee” of Kapost.  We feel there is an opportunity to shift these to recurring revenue, both to increase our revenue, but also to cover the costs of maintaining, supporting and working with customers to get these working well.  So figuring out go-to-market for Integrations, including pricing, packaging and working with Product Marketing on how to handle existing integrations will be a key part of this role.
  • Proactively laying out the Integration strategy and roadmap.  This roadmap is a combination of building out native integrations (and supporting our backlog), building custom integrations paid for by customers, and investing in our Integrations architecture.
  • Working closely with Customers to understand their challenges and help consultatively get to the requirements they need.  Building out SOW, checking in with customer on Milestones, iterating on projects as necessary.
  • Project Managing all the Integrations work.  Working closely with engineers and the rest of the Product team to put together quarterly roadmaps, break those down into milestones and help keep the Engineers unblocked.  In the near future this role would also serve as the Product Owner, responsible for story writing and acceptance, though as this team grows that would become a separate role.
  • Coordinating with the Design team, to bring the best possible experience to our customers.
  • Working with Product Marketing to develop best practices. eg How do we recommend customers integrate with Social?
  • Working with Customer Marketing to make sure all our integrations and APIs our well documented and enabling our Success and Sales to team to speak intelligently about them.

What you’re like:

  • Technical.  You won’t be coding, but you will need to be able to dig in with Customers to understand how their internal system work and how Kapost will fit in with that.  You’ll likely need to roll up your sleeves and help configure some integrations, and study API docs to determine scope and feasibility.
  • Systems Thinker: You love thinking through complex systems and mapping all the components, people, and how they link together to serve business goals.  You are always thinking about ways to make systems work better.
  • Business-Minded.  Beyond typical product management responsibilities, you’ll be helping to launch a new P&L for Kapost.  So figuring out the go to market, figuring out ways to co-market with partners is all part of the role.
  • Organized. There are a lot of moving parts in this role that need to be kept in line. To be successful you’ll need to work with other product & design leads, product marketing, customer marketing, engineering, technical partners and customers. You will need to develop systems to manage all of this.
  • Accountable.  You will be THE point person in the company for integrations and will be responsible for making this new team successful.
  • Startupy.  There are lots of unknowns in this role as it’s a new team trying to establish a new line of revenue using all new processes.  You will have support from many colleagues, but in the end you will be expected to make it happen.

Benefits

  • 100% paid health insurance
  • Paid parental leave program
  • 401k plan
  • Work-life balance is a core value. We have yoga at lunch, can work from home on Wednesdays (which also happens to be “no meeting Wednesdays” for heads-down work), and you can bring your dog to work (as long as Fido doesn’t chew on the wires)
  • In-office bicycle storage plus a free Eco-Pass and neighborhood parking pass
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Catered lunch every Friday, plus a fully stocked kitchen
  • Regular happy hours (we’ve cooked together at Food Lab, went bowling, and solved more problems together at escape rooms)
  • Annual company retreat & holiday party
  • We give you money for a new laptop every 3 years
