About Alteryx Innovation Labs

The Innovation Labs office was started in 2019 by the acquisition of MIT-spinout Feature Labs. Position Overview

As the Director of Product you will be responsible for leading the product team, defining and executing the strategy for Alteryx’s data science and machine learning products. If you are an entrepreneurial leader that can develop a big-picture vision while simultaneously driving the team to make that vision a reality, this is the perfect role for you.

 

Responsibilities

  • Introduce new products to the Alteryx platform and add innovative new features for existing products

  • Develop a strategic product and technology roadmap by building consensus among internal stakeholders, including the executive team, and align this product roadmap with go-to-market activities.

  • Manage a team of product managers and work with designers, researchers, and engineers to execute the product roadmap

  • Hire, mentor, and inspire the product team

  • Oversee the execution of Alpha, Beta and pilot programs with customers and prospects

  • Analyze customers, prospects, and competitors to determine and prioritize the right features to bring to market

  • Serve as an internal and external evangelist for products built by Alteryx

  • Establish a strategy to enable and train customers as well as internal support teams on product features through various channels including direct communication, webinar and live events and sessions

  • Be an active participant in the Alteryx Community ecosystem, including the Alteryx Community site, Alteryx Open Source, and user events to help shape the market and evangelize the Alteryx product portfolio

 

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Product Management, Software Development, Sales Engineering, or Product Marketing experience

  • Delivered and maintained an enterprise grade application over a multi-year span

  • Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making

  • Experience with best practice agile scrum development and lean startup principles

  • Experience with on-premise software deployments or multi-tenant SaaS applications

  • Curious and comfortable holding professional conversations with our target buyers and users

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain expertise in software engineering, data science, predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistics

  • Experience leading teams of Account Executives, Customer Support Reps, Sales Engineers, and Solutions Architect is a big plus

  • Experience with open source or creating products for developers

  • Experience developing and executing product marketing strategies for new products

  • Experience creating traditional desktop software

  • In the future, this position may require domestic and international travel to customer and potential sites up to 25 percent.
