POSITION SUMMARY
AdAction is seeking a Director, Performance Revenue to own all monetization of our portfolio of web properties, and growth and retention of our existing book of accounts. The successful candidate will seek to create scalable win-win opportunities for both supply and clients. They will help develop monthly, quarterly and annual goals and collaborate across the company to develop processes and strategies to maximize revenue and margin.
The Director, Performance Revenue will be a recognized thought leader with a strong ability to influence others, engage stakeholders and drive business and operational decisions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our product incubator in a client facing role and drive the future growth and success of our owned and operated web properties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Own key elements of our advertising monetization strategy including the development of a decision-making framework and execution on pricing, yield, data, and placements.
Collaborate with internal teams to author and manage pricing for various demand sources within AdAction’s digital advertising business.
Develop the mechanisms to drive execution of our long term strategy to best meet our customer needs.
Identify and maximize growth opportunities from a portfolio of existing clients. Foster relationships with new industry clients.
Negotiate contracts and pursue long term relationships with advertisers.
Utilize acquired knowledge of AdAction's products and industry news/trends to answer client questions and provide smart recommendations.
Advocate on behalf of clients to internally escalate any concerns and reasonable requests.
Translate client objectives into action items for the Ad Operations, Product & Marketing teams.
Manage multiple aspects of the client relationship including campaign price negotiations, campaign launches, and quality checks.
Participate in developing account management best practices and internal processes
Monitor daily campaign metrics, performance, and traffic quality.
Partner with Product to ensure our business is able to convert your customer empathy into a long term strategy to meet their needs.
Desired Skills and Experience
5+ years of experience managing multiple external clients.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in revenue management, pricing/yield management, advertising monetization, or related field.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills required, with expertise in quickly being able to decompose any business problem into outputs and inputs.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability and confidence to succinctly convey complex information to senior management.
Results-oriented and possess an entrepreneurial spirit which thrives in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.
Ability to refine and translate raw data into an actionable story.
Highly analytical and incredibly attentive to detail.
Ability to multitask and problem solve.
