At Havenly, we believe in making space for better living. From gathering home inspiration, to working with a designer, to shopping curated home products, we collaborate with clients across the country to design spaces they love coming home to. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Denver, CO, we are a fun, convenient, and affordable solution for designing your home.

We are looking for a results-driven, goal-oriented Director of Merchandising and E-commerce to join our team and drive our rapidly growing business. This role will lead strategic assortment and category opportunities, guide site merchandising efforts, and co-own revenue / conversion tactics. This position will report into our VP of Merchandising and is critical in identifying areas of focus across our product catalog, vendor base, and site / app, all while partnering with cross-functional teams to drive revenue and increase margins across the business.

The right candidate will be a metrics-oriented, strategic e-commerce leader with an ability to identify, build, and execute initiatives that optimize financial results, operational metrics, and designer / client outcomes. You will have outstanding partnership skills (internal and external), can balance strategic and tactical work, and will quickly learn how things work at Havenly and with our partners.

What you’ll do:

Category/Assortment Management

  • Analyze merchandise revenue and margin performance to identify trends and opportunities for our product catalog and vendor matrix. Proactively use these insights to drive meaningful change and improvements across the business.
  • Identify and onboard new vendors, and ensure their continued success in the Havenly ecosystem (in partnership with Vendor Management)
  • Use financial results and trend data to curate worthy and notable assortments for storytelling, with an eye towards delivering key merchandising metrics (i.e. revenue and margin)
  • Drive product sales and conversion through the creation of best in class product content and training / education for Havenly’s designers

Site Merchandising/E-commerce

  • Align our designer and customer-facing experiences with baseline e-commerce expectations, and serve as a SME on best practices as we continue to build out these capabilities
  • Lead your team in managing product assortments on the Havenly website with the goal of crafting a best in class e-commerce experience for both Havenly clients and designers
  • Build process and tools in an efficient manner as the business continues to scale

Product Development

  • Develop the internal vision and roadmap for Product Development (+Design & Sourcing) as needed to enable the private label ambitions of the company
  • Lead initial operations and execution, while building the team and/or contract resources needed as this function grows in importance to our broader business
  • Own private label line planning, branding execution, and alignment of the Havenly style / aesthetic POV with external suppliers and partners

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in a high-growth consumer or e-commerce environment
  • Deep functional expertise that spans category management / buying, site merchandising / e-commerce, and product development
  • An undergraduate degree
  • A metrics-first approach: the ability to build a strategy and execute against it in order to deliver results
  • A self-starting attitude: you work independently and effectively with minimal direction, and proactively identify opportunities to exceed company, team, and individual goals
  • A collaborative approach: you naturally build connections, rapport, and camaraderie with partners across different business disciplines, both internally and externally
  • Experience building relationships and working cross-functionally with internal teams
  • Expertise in managing or supporting external partner relationships (vendors, suppliers, or customers)

Additional Details:

  • This is a full-time exempt position headquartered in Denver, CO.
  • Targeted compensation range for this role: $120-150K/year + Bonus, flexible dependent upon experience.
  • Our total rewards package includes competitive compensation, generous PTO, volunteer days off, health benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability), company equity, 401K, paid Parental leave, and Fertility benefits. In addition, we offer free design services, furniture discounts, and merchandise credits.
