What is a Client Services Manager on the Client Services team at GutCheck?

Here at GutCheck, everyone collaborates cross functionally across the organization. As a Client Service Manager, you are the glue between sales, research, and our clients. You can think of yourself as a “Solution Engineer” where you will be an expert on all things GutCheck and all things Market Research. Your primary role will be scoping out projects and writing proposals, which are then passed off to the Research team to execute.


What should you know before applying to this role?

This is NOT a sales role. This role requires a deep understanding of market research methodologies and a high level of comfort interacting with clients. You will be the go-to expert on research when on the phone or in person with clients. You must be willing to travel up to 50% by plane as we try and get in front of our clients as often as possible.


What type of clients do we work with and what type of work do we do? 

Many of our clients are in the CPG industry but we also work in tech, food service, retail, healthcare, and B2B. We are a tech-enabled services company, holding our clients’ hands every step of the way. 


Here is a glimpse of what this role entails - is this right for you?

  • You will partner with Sales teams and lead research meetings, uncover and build learning plans, and confidently present in front of our clients
  • You will need to be able to take a client’s set of business objectives and design research strategies that align with GutCheck’s solutions
  • You will not be executing or analyzing research – the majority of your time will be spent using your market research acumen to design research projects and educate clients on GutCheck research practices.


Here are some things we are looking for...

  • 3+ years market research experience with expertise in research methodology and design
  • Strong business acumen - experience writing proposals, pricing studies, and building and supporting a new business acquisition process
  • Lead from the front - experience partnering closely with internal team and stakeholders to help with deal management and to ensure quota attainment
