ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an Associate Product Manager to join our quickly growing Client Solutions team and support the expansion of SunCentral, Pivot’s community solar management software. You will be joining a team enabling the rapid deployment of community solar across the country and at the forefront of emerging market opportunities in decarbonization. This role will serve as a critical connection between customers, operations, and software developers, translating strategic priorities and customer feedback into concrete products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a liaison between Operations, Client Partnerships and Engineering, ensuring that the product priorities are clearly communicated, and support business needs for each stakeholder
- Spearhead the aggregation of user feedback and market research, and oversee the incorporation of these insights into the product
- Support the Product Managers and engineering team with prioritization of the product roadmap
- Define the requirements and the scope of new features, clearly enumerating acceptance criteria to ensure on-schedule delivery of features serving critical business needs
- Track and prioritize software defects and requests from reporting to resolution, working with the Client Partnership team to deliver best-in-class client satisfaction
- Conduct periodic maintenance of the product backlog and work with engineering team to prioritize and schedule hardening tasks
- Support software releases, including coordinating timelines and preparing release notes with customer-facing talk points; provide feedback to Product Managers on release implementation
- Schedule and maintain frequent retrospectives to build a culture of learning and growth
- Work to improve process so strategy, design, and development are in sync and with multiple touchpoints for feedback incorporation
- Develop a strategic mindset by surfacing issues, risks, and problems as necessary, proposing mitigation plans and solutions to overcome obstacles
- Join software team stand-up meetings to ensure priorities and blockers are clearly communicated
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- 2 years of software product management experience, or equivalent
- Experience working cross-functionally and bridging technical and non-technical audiences
- Willingness to try new approaches
- Comfort navigating product challenges in a high growth environment
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proactive communication style
PREFERRED COMPETENCIES
● Scrum, Agile or PMP certification
● Software development experience
● Familiarity with Microsoft Azure
● Background in data analytics and SQL
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The base salary range for this position is $50,000-$60,000 depending on relevant experience, along with eligibility for the company’s substantial bonus plan, with a target bonus of 50% of annual salary (prorated in first year based on start date). Total annual compensation potential, when including bonus, is $75,000-$90,000.
