Assistant Manager, Product Management - Denver, Colorado

You will have an undergraduate degree. You will lead assigned business initiatives as a Product Owner, by defining and documenting product requirements/test cases/launch procedures, validating test results, and ensuring successful product launch. You will Support new product launches with detailed and regular communication to stakeholders. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining new processes for both new and existing payment methods, and supplier risk assessment. You will work closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk and other cross-functional departments to roll out new projects/procedures, review existing procedures, resolve issues, and minimize risk to the business. You will actively work with the project management team to complete detailed business requirements, assesses impacts of projects, and ensure key tasks are incorporated to project plans. Engage in project releases and user acceptance testing. You will lead projects to identify control gaps and support continuous process improvement works closely with internal audit and stakeholders to conduct reviews to ensure controls are maintained and SLA’s are achieved.

 

You should have 5-7 years of financial industry experience. You will have experience in global payments e-commerce role, required focus on customer-not-present, preferred experience as a merchant or banking institution. You will have a good understanding of the business processes and knowledge of the banking products and distribution channels. You will have experience managing and optimizing exception flows in the customer flow. You will have a deep understanding of Cards, ACH, Bank transfer payment method and settlement, exposure to risk management and modelling is preferred, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interact with many departments and levels of management.

Annual base salary gross: $81,192.00 - $121,276.00. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidates qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Union’s total compensation package for employees.
