As Product Manager for Onboarding & Enrollment, you will drive outcomes related to DER enrollment processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to simplify and optimize workflows.
About Voltus
Voltus is a leading DER technology platform and virtual power plant operator connecting distributed energy resources to electricity markets in order to deliver less expensive, more reliable, and more sustainable electricity. We help commercial and industrial customers and DER partners generate cash by maximizing the value of their flexible load, distributed generation, energy storage, energy efficiency, and electric vehicle resources in energy markets. We hire teammates who are bright, gritty, and good; who have a genuine passion for delivering a cleaner energy future; and who enjoy working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
The Role
As the Product Manager for Onboarding & Enrollment you will be responsible for owning and driving outcomes associated with the critical first-mile of turning DERs into dollars: from initial signup to market-eligibility. You’ll help Voltus “simplify the complex” of distribution utilities, energy markets, and customer circumstances in order to help maximize the volume of MWUM (megawatts under management) that are eligible to enroll and re-enroll every season.
What’s the role? This role is a mix of strategy and execution, which includes researching user and market needs, defining vision and strategy, forming and evaluating investment theses, establishing roadmaps, prioritizing outcomes, running experiments, managing cross-functional execution, and measuring the impact of your initiatives. You will work extremely closely with the GTM, design & engineering, customer success & operations, and energy markets teams who will be key stakeholders, collaborators, and users.
Some things you might do in your first 90 days: Reducing time-to-authorization from weeks to days. Prioritizing self-serve capabilities to increase the throughput of enrollment requirements. Designing flexible onboarding and enrollment flows that adapt to different customer and market circumstances (e.g. large single facilities vs. multi-site enterprises).
Who are you? You are a self-starter with a strong bias toward action. You are an enthusiastic right-brain communicator, with strong left-brain technical capabilities. You gravitate toward hard and hairy problems, especially novel ones. You love simplifying complex concepts and can quickly deep dive into the heart of an issue. You are a team player and are eager to learn and collaborate with your Bright, Gritty, and Good colleagues.
