Royalty Exchange is an online marketplace that focuses on transparency and honesty to bring songwriters and artists together with investors. Songwriters and artists love us because we give them access to capital to fund their careers. Investors love us because we help them generate income that's hard to beat.

We're growing at double-digits month over month and while we will always maintain our marketplace, we want to expand our products to serve the needs of even more musicians and investors. That's where you come in.

We are building out a new financial solution for our investors. Investors have begged us to create this for over a year - and it will be your turn to shine.

To be successful, you will need to be agile and creative about developing new products, and have a strong vision for how to define and measure successful design. We’re looking for a natural collaborator who is at home working in cross-functional teams - including legal, marketing, design and technology. Every decision you make must be focused on building long-term value for our users.

Our first Product Manager will be defining product strategy and seeing it through implementation. This isn't only a technology position. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, marketing, engineering, customer-facing teams and customers to ensure we build products with user experiences that meet market needs, add value for our customers, and are technically feasible. People who do well in this role are excellent problem solvers and communicators, are highly engaged and are able to speak geek with the engineers. The ultimate Royalty Exchange Product Manager is able to envision, debate and articulate product solutions from concept through implementation.

Our downtown Denver office is located in the popular LoDo neighborhood close to hundreds of bars and restaurants, as well as sports and concert venues. We have an open space layout that encourages our collaborative style of work and we believe in truth and transparency, first and foremost. As a team we are deeply invested in our success and can’t wait to welcome the newest member.

What You’ll Do

  • Turn complex problems into simple, engaging customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to build prototypes and test product ideas.
  • Lead design research with users and internal teams to solve customer problems and identify new business opportunities.
  • Lead usability testing of our products and synthesize learnings into design priorities.
  • Work with our team to understand user needs, product opportunities and define roadmap priorities.

What you'll need

  • The basics – have a degree in something you care about. Show us that you have a desire to grow in your profession
  • Proven leadership ability and past management experience - you must have a history of making the people around you better
  • Ability to develop and prototype experiences from end to end, including qualitative research, leveraging user data to surface behavioral insights, wire aligning stakeholders and defining success metrics
  • Experience with iterative design methodologies and rapid development cycles
  • Knowledge and experience with HTML and CSS/SASS
  • Set a clear path for yourself without needing direction
  • Strong collaboration skills: You strongly prefer working in teams, but you're comfortable working independently when necessary
  • Analytically minded. All your decisions are data-driven and supported by the data and research you’ve collected
  • You’re comfortable with basic quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and reporting on results.
  • Superior organization skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Good foresight and desire to thoroughly think through details
  • Comfort communicating with tech people/ability to provide executable technical specifications
