The Role

As a Product Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading design projects, fostering strong relationships, and contributing to the overall success of our product. Working closely with Product and Engineering, you’ll design intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling solutions that drive business impact. You’ll focus on solving complex design challenges within defined product areas, applying best practices in interaction design, visual design, and information architecture to enhance the user experience. As a key team member, the Product Designer mentors contributors, communicates confidently, and leads the solution of complex design challenges.

Remote: Candidates must permanently and currently reside in the United States. Employees are not required to work in the office or relocate to Lincoln, Nebraska, for this opportunity. Employees are encouraged to come hang at headquarters for up to 10 days per calendar year on CompanyCam’s dime.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead design projects with a focus on iterative, effective problem-solving beyond best practices, utilizing the CDH (Continuous Discovery Habits) framework.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to ensure alignment on learning goals, success metrics, and execution of design solutions that deliver on outcomes.
  • Communicate design decisions effectively, articulating rationale and soliciting feedback from the broader team and even the company.
  • Participate in design reviews, providing thoughtful feedback to others and incorporating their feedback into your work.
  • Balance customer needs, technical constraints, and business goals to create real, practical and impactful solutions.
  • Contribute to and evolve our design eco-system, ensuring consistency and scalability across products.
  • Advocate for accessibility and usability, ensuring inclusive experiences for all users.

  • Leading projects that are launch 2-3 times a month directly to our customers, impacting how they do work every day, measuring their impact, and iterating.
  • Continuously learning from customers through user interviews and incorporating real-world feedback into your understanding of the experience space.
  • Collaborating with and up-leveling your and your fellow teammates’ skills through critiques, workshops, and open, and honest feedback.
What You’ll Bring
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Product Designer with an education in Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Figma or similar for wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design.
  • Deep curiosity in emerging technologies like AI and how to use it to improve the lives of customers plus refine your own processes.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Research teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain design decisions and processes.
  • A passion for design ops, bringing your desire for organization, design efficiency, and innovation to the team and it’s internal processes.
  • A continuous growth-mindset, with a focus on learning, embracing challenges, and continuously improving.
  • A desire design with a team that focuses on learning quickly and iteratively and redefining the problem and solution with continuous user feedback.
  • Preferable experience with SaaS products, experience with agentic experiences a plus.
Benefits & Compensation

This is a salaried position at CompanyCam. Our starting salary range is $120,000-$130,000 per year and is based on experience. We also offer meaningful equity and other benefits.
